  • Patent number: 10427219
Abstract: The continuous cutting apparatus includes a guide rail (5), an extruder (3) for extruding and moving forward a series of sintered magnet blocks (1) on the guide rail (5), a holder plate (6) for holding the magnet blocks in place, and a plurality of OD blades (2) for cutoff machining the magnet blocks into magnet pieces. The cutting apparatus is capable of continuously cutoff machining magnet blocks each into a multiplicity of magnet pieces of desired shape and/or size, achieving a significant increase in productivity and ensuring efficient production of magnet pieces.

  • Publication number: 20030104246
Abstract: In order to easily attach magnet pieces of a permanent magnet for a motor and thus to reduce eddy currents which occur in the magnet and ensure insulation performance between the magnet pieces, the present invention provides a permanent magnet for a motor which comprises at least two magnet pieces and one or more insulating sheets, each sheet comprising an insulating substrate and an adhesive, wherein said one or more insulating sheets are arranged at joint surfaces of the magnet pieces to attach and integrate the magnet pieces, and a motor using the same permanent magnet.

  • Patent number: 6556595
Abstract: Disclosed is a novel hybrid wiggler as a kind of insertion devices, for example, in an electron accelerator. Different from a conventional hybrid wiggler consisting of two oppositely facing arrays each formed of an alternate arrangement of a plurality of permanent magnet blocks and a plurality of pole pieces of a soft magnetic material to generate a sine-curved periodical magnetic field in the gap space between the arrays to cause meandering of electron beams, each of the pole pieces is sandwiched on the lateral surfaces with a pair of auxiliary permanent magnet blocks so that the periodical magnetic field generated in the gap space can be greatly strengthened.

  • Patent number: 5034641
Abstract: The invention relates to an improvement in the design of the magnetic circuit in a permanent-magnet rotary machine, e.g., a servomotor, with an object to stabilize the output of the motor with respect to temperature variation. The inventive improvement is in making the value of (A.sub.m B.sub.m)/(A.sub.y B.sub.ys), which is called the area factor .alpha., larger than 1 but smaller than 5, A.sub.m and B.sub.m being the cross sectional area and magnetic flux density, respectively, in the magnetic circuit of the permanent magnet and A.sub.y and B.sub.ys being the effective cross sectional area and saturation magnetic flux density at room temperature, respectively, in the magnetic circuit of the yoke.
