  • Patent number: 7613892
Abstract: A recording apparatus, method, recording medium, and program for recording data files, according to a FAT system, on an information-recording medium, regardless of the capacity of the information-recording medium. A FAT block of a size corresponding to the capacity of a FAT-block SDRAM is sequentially copied from the top of a FAT recorded in the information-recording medium to the FAT-block SDRAM. A block number is recorded in control data created in response to the FAT block in the FAT-block SDRAM. The number of free clusters is counted. If free clusters are available, the number and total capacity of the free clusters are recorded, the cluster address of the first free cluster is recorded, and a loadable/unloadable flag set to loadable is recorded. The present invention is applicable to video cameras.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a recording apparatus and method, to a recording medium, and to a program for recording data files, according to a FAT system, on an information-recording medium, regardless of the capacity of the information-recording medium. In step S1, a FAT block of a size corresponding to the capacity of a FAT-block SDRAM is sequentially copied from the top of a FAT recorded in the information-recording medium to the FAT-block SDRAM. In step S2, a block number is recorded in control data created in response to the FAT block in the FAT-block SDRAM. In step S3, the number of free clusters is counted. If free clusters are available, the number and total capacity of the free clusters are recorded in step S5, the cluster address of the first free cluster is recorded in step S6, and a loadable/unloadable flag set to loadable is recorded in step S7. The present invention is applicable to video cameras.

  • Publication number: 20050259542
Abstract: The present invention relates to a playback apparatus and method, which are capable of reading streaming data recorded on an information recording medium in compliance with an FAT scheme continuously without delay, to a recording medium for use therewith, and to a program therefor. In a DRAM for file playback information, file playback information generated by a CPU is stored. The file playback information is file playback information for playing back a file A generated on the basis of the FAT. In the file playback information, the cluster addresses of clusters used to record a corresponding file are recorded in sequence in the order in which they are used. In the file playback information of the file A, cluster addresses CL1, CL2, CL3, . . . , CL329, and CL330, in which files A-1 to A-18 forming the file A are recorded, are recorded, and an EOF is recorded following the cluster address CL330. The present invention can be applied to a hard disk recorder.

  • Patent number: 5659359
Abstract: A control circuit for a solid state image sensing device which is capable of reading out signal charges in a field storage system and frame storage system and is provided with an electronic shutter for controlling a signal charge storage time in accordance with a shutter pulse for discharging the charges. A time lag is provided between timings of readout gate pulses in each field period for pixels of odd and even rows in a field storage system. A storage time adjusting circuit is provided for correcting the time lag between the signal charge storage times for the pixels in the even and odd rows when the signal charges are read out in the frame storage system. Thus, it is possible to prevent generation of flicker causes by a change in signal charge storage time due to the time lag in each field period between the readout gate pulses for the even field and the odd field in reading out the signal charges in the frame storage system.

  • Patent number: 5141418
Abstract: A variable capacity type vane pump comprising a cam ring, a rotor placed for rotation within the cam ring. The rotor has a number of radial slots, and vances placed for radial inward and outward movement in the receptive slots each having a bottom. A pump chamber is defined between the cam ring and the rotor and it has an inlet and outlet port. The outlet port is connected through a conduit to the bottom of at least one of the slots having vanes moving inwardly in the respective slots. A restriction orifice is placed in the conduit.
