  • Publication number: 20060000587
Abstract: A warp of a side plate in the lengthwise direction is reduced by means of a simple shape formed by pressing without increasing a press machine in size. A side plate, for a heat exchanger, to be arranged at the end of a core section 13 composed of tubes 11 and fins 12 has a long and narrow shape with a U-shaped section formed by a bottom section 21 and bent sections 22 and 23 formed by bending both ends of the bottom section 21 in the width direction, and a plurality of recesses 24 extending in the width direction are formed by pressing the bottom section 21 at predetermined intervals c.

  • Patent number: 5791186
Abstract: According to the present invention, in a press die unit for performing a plurality of pressing steps on a strip-like plate material, there are provided a pair of stationary dies and a pair of movable dies. In each pair of dies, a plurality of punches and dies are equipped, and at least a part of punches or dies are lowered or lifted in a manner to be used or not used. By combining the positional adjustment of the movable dies and the increase or decrease in the number of the punches and dies for performing the press working process, a plurality of pressing steps for a pressed product are completed with a single pressing die unit even when the length of the pressed product is changed to a various kind.

  • Patent number: 5538076
Abstract: Projections are formed on the tip end part of a pipe for directly fitting the pipe into a capsule without using any extraneous elements, thus providing an economical and firmly fitting mechanism. Such a structure is commonly used in a heat exchanger. A tank includes a capsule formed into a box shape with one side open and a bottom panel disposed at the upper and lower ends of a heat exchanger and brazed thereto. A pipe fitting hole is formed in a side panel of the capsule, and around the pipe fitting hole is concavely formed a ring-shaped part inside the tank, and around the-ring-shaped part is formed a cylindrical part approximately at a right angle to the plane of ring-shaped part. On pipe is formed a flange part, and on a tip end part of the pipe are formed projections.

  • Patent number: 5417097
Abstract: A process of press-forming a strip fed in its longitudinal direction to continuously produce press-formed articles with arbitrary lengths through forming stages including a draw-forming stage, the process comprising the steps of: a first step of continuously forming a semi-finished product having a middle portion formed over a length corresponding to that of a final product and an unformed leading end connected to an unformed following end of a neighboring antecedent semi-finished product, while feeding a strip in the direction of the strip length at a selected pitch; a second step of simultaneously draw-forming the unformed leading end of the semi-finished product and the unformed following end of the neighboring antecedent semi-finished product to a selected shape, the ends being connected to the respective semi-finished products; and a third step of separating scrap from peripheries of the leading end of the semi-finished product and the following end of the neighboring antecedent semi-finished product.

  • Patent number: 5361619
Abstract: To produce deep-drawn articles having various lengths by effecting forming and trimming without an increase in the production cast, a process comprises the steps of: a first step of press-forming a blank in the portions corresponding to both ends of a deep-drawn product having a desired length to form a semi-deep-drawn product in the form of a vessel having both ends deep-drawn to a vessel form and an unformed mid-length portion; and a second step of press-forming the unformed mid-length portion of the semi-deep-drawn product to complete a deep-drawn product in the form of a vessel.
