  • Publication number: 20180072249
Abstract: A communication system includes a control device and a plurality of electric units configured to be connected to the control device respectively to communicate with each other, and each of the plurality of electric units having a unique identifier. Each of the plurality of electric units comprises a resistor configured to set the corresponding identifiers. The respective resistors of the plurality of electric units are connected to each other in series to form a setting circuit. The control device is configured to determine the corresponding identifiers of the plurality of respective electric units based on magnitudes of respective voltages applied to the plurality of respective resistors in the setting circuit, and to send signals indicating the determined identifiers to the plurality of electric units, respectively.

  • Patent number: 9913342
Abstract: An illumination control device includes sub controllers each having output ports for controlling a light source of a plurality of light sources and a main controller connected to the sub controllers respectively and controlling the light sources via the sub controllers. Each of the sub controllers controls a lighting form of the corresponding light source of the light sources in accordance with a signal input from the main controller. The main controller transmits, to each of the sub controllers, assignment information representing assignment states of the light sources with respect to the output ports of each of the sub controllers and event information specifying the lighting forms of the light sources. Each of the sub controllers controls the lighting forms by specifying the assignment states of the light sources corresponding to the output ports in accordance with the assignment information.

  • Patent number: 9907141
Abstract: A luminance control device and a luminance control method for controlling luminance of a light emitting member are provided in order to reduce the amount of information to be stored while preventing the user from feeling uncomfortable. The CPU divides by the interpolation division number a value obtained subtracting the reference duty ratio from the reference duty ratio so as to calculate an interpolation variation width, and integrates the interpolation variation width to the reference duty ratio every time the interpolation period elapses, and the variation width in the luminance of the LED is therefore reduced, preventing users to feel uncomfortable, which allows for suppressing the amount of information to be stored.

  • Patent number: 9565743
Abstract: In a load control unit, three R, G, and B LED chips that constitute each light source (33a-33d) of reading lamps (25-31) and a connector (35) with a built-in controller are mounted on a circuit board (37) to thereby eliminate the connection of a controller (35b) built into the connector (35) with the built-in controller and the respective light sources (33a-33d) by signal lines. In addition, the controller (35b) and a lighting ECU (43) are connected by a multiplex communication line (39), and the multiplex communication line (39) is routed in pillars (15, 17) of a vehicle (1). Consequently, the number of wires can be reduced compared with when individual wires connected to the respective light sources (33a-33d) are passed through the pillars (15, 17), and thereby making it possible to effectively use limited spaces within the pillars (15, 17) through which many other wires are passed.

  • Patent number: 9420671
Abstract: A lighting control system includes a plurality of light sources, a plurality of light source drivers, each of the light source drivers being configured to adjust a light emission intensity of an associated one of the light sources in at least two levels, and an integrated controller configured to control the light source drivers to control conditions of the light sources in an integrated manner. The integrated controller is configured to control the light source drivers to execute a light intensity transition of reducing the light emission intensity from a first light intensity level to a second light intensity level that is lower than the first light intensity level with respect to each of the light sources such that a timing at which the light intensity transition ends is substantially the same for each of the light sources.

  • Publication number: 20150203029
Abstract: Each of reading lamps serving for second row seats and a third row seat of a vehicle includes light sources spaced in a front-rear direction of the vehicle. The lighting pattern of the light sources which includes the respective intensities thereof is determined in accordance with the sliding position of the corresponding seat in the front-rear direction of the vehicle. Accordingly, the light sources are appropriately turned on so that light from the reading lamp may sufficiently reach an occupant on the seat regardless of whether the sliding position of a seat is a forward position or a rearward position, and thereby the occupant can be appropriately lit in accordance with a change in the seat position.
