  • Publication number: 20240140642
Abstract: A packing member, a toner container, and a packing method. The packing member contains the toner container, and the packing member includes a box containing the toner container with a gap between one side of the box and a container body and between the one side of the box and a large-dimension portion of the toner container, a first pressing portion that presses the container body, and a second pressing portion that presses the large-dimension portion. In the packing member, the large-dimension portion of the toner container is disposed at one end of the container body, and the large-dimension portion has a wider dimension than the container body in a direction orthogonal to a longitudinal direction of the toner container. In the packing member, the container body contacts, with first contact force, a first bearer inside the box to maintain the gap.

  • Patent number: 5832113
Abstract: A data input device including a display screen on which a keyboard appears, and a tablet that covers the screen. Keys are displayed in such a manner that a single alphabet character appears in a single key representation area. A mark drawn with a pen on the tablet indicates the transformation or modification of the specified character, such that a character indicated by a touch is entered in lowercase, and a character indicated by a check is entered in uppercase. Furthermore, by displaying a plurality of symbols in a single key representation area, one of the symbols can be selected and entered, depending on the manner in which the pen touches the screen.

  • Patent number: 5444553
Abstract: An image data processing apparatus binary-codes an image signal obtained from an image sensor of the CCD type or the like so as to output a binary-coded image signal. The image signal obtained from the image sensor A/D-converted into digital image data. Based upon the digital image data, average values of luminance values of the digital image data are calculated for an array of pixels in a preselected area of the CCD. This average value is used as a threshold level for binary coding the image data for these pixels at the center portion of this preselected area. Furthermore, to detect coutours this data processing apparatus calculates a gradient in the luminance values of the pixels in a portion of the preselected area of the CCD in an X direction and a Y direction, and the gradient value is used to obtain binary-coded data in accordance with the above-described method.

  • Patent number: 5223935
Abstract: An electronic camera includes an optical device having a diaphragm for focusing an optical image of subject, an image sensor for sensing the focused optical image and for converting the sensed image into electric signals, a luminous energy level detector for detecting a level of luminous energy based on the electric signals, an exposure condition determining device for determining exposure-time data and diaphragm control data based on the level of luminous energy, an exposure-time control device for a time that the optical image is exposed to the image sensor based on the exposure-time data, a diaphragm controller for controlling the diaphragm based on the diaphragm control data, and a processor for processing the electric signals produced by the image sensor at proper exposure conditions so as to produce a video signal.

  • Patent number: 4899228
Abstract: A small-sized copying apparatus has a housing (1). As the housing (1) is moved, an image data-reading circuit (15, 56, 57, 58) receives the light reflected from an original illuminated by a light source (11), and the image data obtained from the light is written into memory (60). Further, as the housing (1) is manually moved, the image data stored in the memory (60) is printed by means of a printing device (21, 65). Any desired reading width over which an image is to be read by the reading circuit (15, 56, 57, 58) can be electronically and/or mechanically designated by designating means (10a, 10c, 61, 63, 64, 64a, 64b).

  • Patent number: 4851921
Abstract: A manual sweeping, image data processing apparatus has a housing (1). When the housing (1) is moved, in contact with an original or a sheet of recording paper, the apparatus can read data from the original, or print data on the recording paper. Within the housing (1), there are provided a reading section (2) for optically reading data, a printing section (3) for printing image data, a memory (60) for storing the data read by the reading section (2), and an encoder (39) for detecting the distance for which the housing (1) has been moved relative to the original or the recording paper. The apparatus further comprises a buzzer (7a) and an LED (10), both for indicating the speed of the housing (1) or informing that the speed of the housing (1) falls outside an appropriate range, in accordance with the signal output from the encoder (39).
