Abstract: A heat exchanger tank partition device in which tank portions are partitioned into chambers by partition plates held between a pair of separable tank plates. These partition plates can be located into the required position, which facilitates assembly and provides good precision and brazing integrity. The result is a simple and secure arrangement which minimizes the risk of leakage of the heat exchange medium occurring.

Abstract: A structure for mounting a bracket used to mount a heat exchanger 1 in which a plurality of tubes 9 are interposed between a pair of header pipes 2, 3 and a plurality of radiator fins 10 are interposed respectively between the tubes 9, or used to mount a pipe which is provided in such heat exchanger 1. In the structure, each of the header pipes 2, 3 includes a trough-shaped tank plate 5 in the outer side thereof and the tank plate 5 includes engagement means in the end portion thereof. A bracket 16 is mounted to the peripheral surface of the tank plate 5. The bracket 16 includes a pair of holding portions 17a, 18a which can hold therebetween the two end portions of the tank plate 5. Each of the holding portions 17a, 18a includes engagement means which is engageable or fittable with the engagement means in the tank plate 5.

Abstract: A supply and return air plenum unit for duct air-conditioning systems includes a return air inlet and a supply air outlet defined in a case in vertical juxtaposition, the supply air outlet having an opening located at a front lower corner of the case. A blow-off grill is disposed in the opening of the supply air outlet and is angularly moved by an actuator for varying the direction of supply air within a range between the horizontal and the vertical.

Abstract: An air conditioning system includes a first indoor unit having a heat exchanger separating the inside space of a case in which air drawn from an air inlet is passed through the heat exchanger and then discharged from a plurality of air outlets, and a second indoor unit having no heat exchanger and connected with one of the air outlets via an intake duct. With this construction, the air to be distributed to a plurality of rooms is cooled or heated by a common heat exchanger. The air conditioning system thus constructed can be installed easily and has a relatively small number of structural components.

Abstract: An indoor unit for room air conditioners includes a case having two compartments which are separated by a heat exchanger and are connected respectively to an air inlet and an air outlet. A side wall of the case in which the air outlet is formed and a side wall of the case in which the air outlet is formed can be changed without using a separate component. With this construction, the indoor unit can be installed in various houses or buildings of different types and hence is suitable for mass-production.

Abstract: An air conditioner comprises an outer casing containing an inner casing having a heat exchanger disposed therein and a blower so as to define jointly with the inner casing an internal air intake passage. The air conditioner further includes an air intake-discharge selector mechanism disposed in a desired position in communication with the air intake passage for taking air into and out of the air conditioner.
