  • Patent number: 11976344
Abstract: A Cu-based alloy powder is provided that is suitable for a process involving rapid-melting and rapid-solidification and can produce a shaped article having superior properties. The powder is made of a Cu-based alloy. The Cu-based alloy includes 0.1 to 5.0 mass % of at least one element M selected from V, Fe, Zr, Nb, Hf, and Ta. The balance in the alloy is Cu and inevitable impurities. The powder has a ratio D50/TD of a mean particle diameter D50 (?m) to a tap density TD (Mg/m3) in a range of 0.2×10?5·m4/Mg to 20×10?5·m4/Mg.

  • Publication number: 20130215771
Abstract: Each network message configured for transmission from a sender to a receiver IED across an Ethernet switch-based communication network of a PC/SA system is evaluated, and a graphical representation respective of process related operational aspects of each IED involved is generated and displayed. Sender and receiver IDs are determined from a logical data flow description that is part of a formal configuration representation of the PC/SA system. One of a plurality of operational aspects of the process is retrieved for each IED from the formal configuration description. Generating the graphical representation of the system includes forming groups of IEDs with identical operational aspects. For each group of IEDs, the respective operational aspect is indicated or displayed. A user may analyze the communication configuration of the system by looking at the graphical representation and determine the consequences of IED failures or engineering errors on other IEDs.

  • Patent number: 8165841
Abstract: The present disclosure is concerned with a Substation Automation testing tool which combines the information found in the SCL (Substation Configuration Language) File of a substation (Substation Configuration Description) or an IED (IED Capability description) with substation-relevant data extracted from the Substation Communication network traffic. Using a message interceptor, e.g., a laptop computer, connected to a substation communication network, IEC 61850 relevant data is retrieved and analyzed. Hence, consistency verification without revision handling and a reduction of the time and efforts for commissioning or testing a substation installation are possible.

By means of a standard laptop computer as a message interceptor connected to a substation communication network, IEC 61850 relevant data is retrieved and analysed. Hence, the disclosure allows for consistency verification without revision handling and achieves a reduction of the time and efforts for commissioning or testing a substation installation.

  • Publication number: 20090070062
Abstract: The disclosure is concerned with the testing of system level functionality involving several Protection, Control and Measurement (PCM) Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs) of a Substation Automation (SA) system for IEC 61850 compliant substations. An extensive testing of all conceivable control or protection functions/applications of an extended SA system comprising a large number of IEDs with a multitude of configurations is facilitated by simulating at least one of the IEDs in a testing device. Hence, only a limited number of IEDs are physically present as individual devices in a test environment, the behaviour of at least one further IED being simulated by a dedicated testing device with appropriate data processing means. The testing device sends network messages indicative of the behaviour of the simulated IED according to its communication and device configuration over a substation communication network to the physically present IED to be tested. The proper working of the configured IED functions, i.e.

  • Patent number: 6337715
Abstract: A broadcasting reception apparatus includes a display unit for presenting a display showing a plurality of channels, with which the user can recognize whether decoding software programs for decoding program signals being currently broadcast via each channel are held in a library buffer, or not, thereby making possible pleasant zapping.

  • Patent number: 6263497
Abstract: The transmitter transmits program information including machine type codes showing the version of hardware able to receive program data, version information indicating the version of software corresponding to the machine type code, and the names and codes of programs to replace with or be added to for the version of software. The receiver compares a machine type code indicating the version of the receiver hardware and version information showing the version of software corresponding to the machine type code with the machine type codes and version information of the program information, examines whether the version of software is updated or not, and, when the version is not updated, stores program codes to update the version. Thereby, it is possible to provide a remote maintenance method and a remote maintenance apparatus able to update the version of software, securing the matching of software and hardware, in a network of wired or wireless broadcasting.

  • Patent number: 6209127
Abstract: Memory is divided into a plurality of banks to store software which is upgraded one bank at a time. By doing so, a memory with the same size as one bank is only needed as the temporary storage used when performing an upgrade. The terminal device only needs a memory that is “1+1/n” times as large as a total software when there are n banks, while a conventional terminal device needs a memory that is twice as large as the total software. Two loader programs are stored in different banks as a master loader program used for download processing and a backup loader program. On receiving a new loader program, one loader program is used to write the new loader program over the other loader program so as to upgrade the loader program. The backup loader program is activated when the new loader program is to be written over the master loader program.
