Patent number: 4727034Abstract: In chromatographic analysis by the steps of adding a sample solution to a flow of an eluant, passing the eluant flow through a separation column thereby converting the eluant flow into an eluate flow containing component ions of the eluant flow in separate zones, passing the eluate flow through an ion-exchange membrane tube thereby allowing the eluate to come into contact with an aqueous solution of an H.sup.+ form or OH.sup.- form electrolyte outside the tube through the wall of the membrane tube, substituting those of the component ions contained in the eluate flow which have the same type of electric charge as H.sup.+ or OH.sup.- with said H.sup.+ or OH.sup.- thereby giving rise to a deionized solution flow, and passing the deionized solution flow through a detection cell thereby causing the component ions which have survived the substitution to be detected as separated into distinct zones, improvements are obtained by causing the aqueous solution of H.sup.+ or OH.sup.Type: GrantFiled: October 1, 1984Date of Patent: February 23, 1988Assignee: Toyo Soda Manufacturing Co., Ltd.Inventors: Susumu Matsushita, Tetsuo Ikushige

Patent number: 4625569Abstract: A liquid injection device, comprising:a pair of a rotor and a stator relatively rotatable in a face-contacting relationship under a liquid-tight state;a plurality of small openings penetrating through the rotor or stator and communicating to a plurality of liquid systems; anda plurality of bridging grooves or openings provided on the contacting surface of the rotor or stator to communicate two or more of the small openings so as to form a liquid flowing path. The rotor can be rotated to a predetermined angle in a normal or reverse direction with respect to the stator so as to communicate a desired number of small openings or cut off the communication between a desired number of small openings by the relative shift of the bridging grooves with respect to the small openings.Type: GrantFiled: January 16, 1985Date of Patent: December 2, 1986Assignee: Toyo Soda Manufacturing Co., Ltd.Inventors: Jun-ichi Toei, Nobuyuki Baba, Keiichi Housako, Tetsuo Ikushige

Patent number: 4556538Abstract: The present invention relates to a chromatographic apparatus for analyzing a sample of an aqueous solution containing a plurality of micro-concentration components. In the apparatus an aqueous solution sample and an eluting solution are introduced into a separating column having a length of 20 to 90 mm, which is filled with a predetermined separating carrier and placed in a thermostatic oven which also contains a detecting cell connected to the separating column, by means of a constant flow, pulse free feeding pump.Type: GrantFiled: March 24, 1982Date of Patent: December 3, 1985Assignee: Toyo Soda Manufacturing Co., Inc.Inventors: Susumu Matsushita, Yoshimitsu Tada, Tetsuo Ikushige, Nobuyuki Baba

Patent number: 4341634Abstract: A high speed liquid chromatography to separate hydrocarbon compounds contained in a solution into three components, namely, saturates, unsaturates and aromatics, an analytical method of hydrocarbons which comprises(a) using an organic chlorine-containing type solvent or a mixed solvent of an organic chlorine-containing type solvent and a hydrocarbon type solvent as an eluent;(b) connecting the first column into which a silica type packing material is packed and the second column into which a silver-containing silica type packing material is packed in series; and(c) introducing the eluate from the second column to a detector to detect it quantitatively.Type: GrantFiled: December 3, 1980Date of Patent: July 27, 1982Assignee: Toyo Soda Manufacturing Co., Ltd.Inventors: Susumu Matsushita, Yoshimitsu Tada, Tetsuo Ikushige

Patent number: 4181649Abstract: Peptides are separated by passing a solution of peptides and an eluent through a column containing a crosslinked hard type starch gel whereby peptides and/or other components are non-fractionally or fractionally separated.Type: GrantFiled: April 26, 1978Date of Patent: January 1, 1980Assignee: Toyo Soda Manufacturing Co., Ltd.Inventors: Susumu Matsushita, Tetsuo Ikushige

Patent number: 4171430Abstract: Glycosides such as stevioside, glycyrrhizin and neohesperidin dihydrochalcone are separated from non-glycosides such as phyllodulcin and perillartine by column chromatography using a porous gel.Type: GrantFiled: August 26, 1977Date of Patent: October 16, 1979Assignee: Toyo Soda Manufacturing Co., Ltd.Inventors: Susumu Matsushita, Tetsuo Ikushige

Patent number: 3965238Abstract: Uranium values are obtained from phosphate rock by acidifying phosphate rock containing uranium values and at least one other heavy metal with a mineral acid so as to obtain a crude acid, solvent extracting the crude acid with an organic solvent so as to separate a raffinate from a relatively pure, wet process phosphoric acid and treating said raffinate with a base so as to raise the pH to 1-2 whereby uranium hydroxide or phosphate and other heavy metal hydroxides or phosphates are coprecipitated. The uranium content of the coprecipitate after drying is at least as high as 0.3% which is comparable to that of uranium ores of the highest quality.Type: GrantFiled: July 27, 1973Date of Patent: June 22, 1976Assignee: Toyo Soda Manufacturing Co., Ltd.Inventors: Tomokazu Tabata, Tetsuo Ikushige
