    Abstract: When driving an actuator 41 of an active vibration isolating support apparatus M to extend and contract on a predetermined cycle so as to suppress the transmission of vibrations of an engine, since a combined target current ICMDT is calculated by combining a primary target current which cancels a primary vibration of the engine with a secondary target current which cancels a secondary vibration of the engine and furthermore, the actuator 41 is driven with a target driving current ICMD in which a minimum value of the combined target current ICMDT is offset to 0, can the primary vibration and the secondary vibration of the engine be cancelled so as to enhance a vibration isolating function and the inclusion of a direct current component into the target driving current ICMD can be prevented so as to suppress a wasteful heat release of the actuator 41 to a minimum level.

    Abstract: A control for determining a firing timing of an engine is provided. An in-cylinder pressure is detected at a predetermined time interval. An in-cylinder pressure for every predetermined crank angle is calculated based on the detected in-cylinder pressure. A motoring pressure in a case where combustion is not performed in the engine is estimated. It is detected that a pressure difference between the calculated in-cylinder pressure and the motoring pressure has exceeded a determination value. A time point is identified, as a firing timing, at which the pressure difference has exceeded a determination value with a finer resolution than the resolution of the predetermined crank angle interval through an interpolation calculation.

    Abstract: An ignition timing control system for an internal combustion engine, which is capable of ensuring both stability of control in a steady operating condition of the engine, and an excellent follow-up property of a controlled variable to a target value in a transient operating condition of the engine, even when the controlled variable contains a lot of high-frequency noise components. In the ignition timing control system, a maximum pressure angle-calculating section calculates a maximum pressure angle based on an in-cylinder pressure and a crank angle position. A target angle-calculating section calculates a target angle. A maximum pressure angle controller calculates a maximum pressure angle correction term with a control algorithm to which is applied a sliding mode control algorithm, using a value obtained by performing ?-filtering on a switching function, such that the maximum pressure angle converges to the target angle. The ignition timing is calculated by adding corrected ignition timing to the value.

    Abstract: When switching between L3 cylinder cut-off running in which a bank on one side of a V6 engine is cut off and V4 cylinder cut-off running in which one cylinder in each of the two banks is cut off, V6 all-cylinder running to operate all the cylinders is interposed therebetween. Therefore, a transitional period is provided between L3 cylinder cut-off running and V6 all-cylinder running and between V6 all-cylinder running and V4 cylinder cut-off running, and no transitional period is present between L3 cylinder cut-off running and V4 cylinder cut-off running.     Abstract: An active vibration isolation support system includes an electronic control unit which supplies a target electric current to an actuator to periodically drive the actuator in an expansion and contraction manner with a target vibration waveform. The controller sets the target electric current by synthesizing a driving primary electric current waveform corresponding to the target vibration waveform for the actuator with higher-order (driving secondary and/or tertiary) electric current waveforms which eliminate higher-order vibration components of the actuator corresponding to the driving primary electric current waveform. It is possible to alleviate a calculating load in the electronic control unit by ignoring the quaternary and still higher-order vibration components which less affect the target vibration waveform for the actuator.

    Abstract: In preparing a wire harness production, modified wire harness wiring pattern information is generated. The generated information relates to second patterns, in which some parts of a first pattern are altered. Each of the second patterns is simulated for practicality. Where practical, according to the simulation, a first sub-pattern is modified to one of the second sub-patterns to achieve the desired second pattern. Jig arrangement pattern information is generated by applying at least one sub jig arrangement pattern to each of the wire harness path patterns of a standard type vehicle included in wire harness path pattern information. Path decision information is used to select one wire harness path pattern. A jig arrangement pattern selector selects a jig arrangement pattern. A path plan is generated by integrating the modified second sub pattern having the necessary alterations and the selected jig arrangement pattern.

An abnormality of the evaporative emission control system is diagnosed based on a detected pressure in the fuel tank. During the abnormality diagnosis, the fourth control valve is controlled to be maintained in a closed state, and the abnormality diagnosis is performed by changing an open or closed state of at least one of the first, second and third control valves without opening the first and third control valves simultaneously.
