  • Patent number: 7302731
Abstract: Washer equipment jets washings to each sweeping area of driver's side and passenger's side windshield of a vehicle, which are swept by driver's side and passenger's side wiper blades, respectively, in such a manner that they synchronize together and move to a same direction. The washer equipment includes a primary jet part and a secondary jet part. The primary jet part splashes the washings down to a first splashdown disposed in each sweeping area of the driver's side and passenger's side wiper blades. The secondary jet part splashes the washings down to a second splashdown disposed upper side of the sweeping area of the driver's side wiper blade and disposed outside an upper reverse position of the passenger's side wiper blade.

  • Patent number: 6493900
Abstract: A wiper device is located between a vehicle rear door and a rear window, which is opened independently from the door. An actuator having an output shaft is fixed to the rear door. A pivot disk is fixed to the output shaft. The pivot disk has a coupler hole. The actuator pivots the coupler hole in a predetermined angle range. A pivot shaft having a wiper arm is supported by the rear window glass. A crank lever having a coupler pin is fixed to the pivot shaft. When the rear window glass is closed with the coupler pin outside of the movement range of the coupler hole, engagement between the coupler pin and the coupler hole moves the coupler pin to the angle range of the coupler hole. Accordingly, the crank lever is positively coupled to the pivot disk by a simple structure.

  • Patent number: 6354578
Abstract: A vibration absorber is provided between a wiper frame and a vehicle body frame. The vibration absorber includes a cylinder and a pair of flanges arranged near opposite axial ends of the cylinder. The cylinder is fitted in an opening formed in the wiper frame. The cylinder has a through hole through which a bolt is inserted. One flange is located between the wiper frame and a washer secured to the bolt. The other flange is located between the wiper frame and the body frame. Each flange has an arched axial cross-sectional shape. The flanges reliably absorb axial vibration of the wiper frame.

  • Patent number: 6122795
Abstract: A wiper device including a drive shaft which reciprocates pivotally, a wiper arm fixed to the drive shaft and reciprocating pivotally together with the drive shaft, and a wiper blade connected to the wiper arm at a connecting portion and moving with the reciprocating pivotal movement of the wiper arm to wipe a surface to be wiped, at least one portion of the wiper arm being positioned above the wiper blade in overlapping manner in plan view, the wiper device comprising vibration limiting means which is provided at any one of the wiper blade and the wiper arm at a position other than the portion where the wiper blade and the wiper arm are connected in a range where the wiper blade and the wiper arm overlap with each other and which limits relative vibration of the wiper arm and the wiper blade during the reciprocating pivotal movement.

  • Patent number: 6119301
Abstract: An object of this invention is to provide a wiper device of a vehicle capable of preventing foreign matter from being caught in a link mechanism of a four-articulation link system type wiper arm, capable of maintaining its function under severe conditions and of being realized through a simple structure at low cost. This wiper device of the vehicle is of the four-articulation link system in which a main lever and a sub lever are each connected to an arm head. A cover member is mounted on the arm head with engaging pieces and engaging concave portions. The cover member covers a link mechanism portion. A mesh-like rib is formed at a back side of the cover member so as to improve rigidity. As a result, it is possible to block penetration of snow or the like and remove (wipe off) accumulated snow and formed ice by force, thereby preventing an increase in the accumulated snow.
