  • Publication number: 20040078008
Abstract: A liquid injection needle (10) includes a hollow needle part (2) for injecting a liquid (8) and a supporting part (3), to which the needle part (2) is fixed. The needle part (2) includes an anchoring part (22) that extends through the inside of the supporting part (3) and a puncturing part (21) that extends from the supporting part (3) for making a puncture in a living body. The puncturing part (21) has a distal side outer diameter equal to or greater than 0.1 mm and equal to or less than 0.25 mm, and a proximal side outer diameter than the distal side outer diameter.

  • Publication number: 20030127494
Abstract: Side hole-bearing tubular bodies made of metal and having an inside diameter of up to 2 mm are manufactured by a method which includes punching from a metal sheet a sheet blank in the developed shape of a tubular body and punching in the sheet blank a hole which corresponds to the side hole in the tubular body and/or notches which form the side hole when the sheet blank is pressed into, a tubular shape, in such a way that the metal sheet and the sheet blank remain partly joined; pressing the sheet blank into a tubular shape; and cutting apart the metal sheet and the sheet blank where they remain joined. Metal tubular bodies manufactured in this way can have one or more side holes of any shape, position or number thereon, and are highly suitable for use in medical devices such as syringe needles.

  • Publication number: 20030127149
Abstract: A small diameter metal tube having at least two inner diameters is provided. A method for producing this metal tube is also provided. In this method, a plate member having a development shape of the metal tube is blanked from a metal thin plate so that the plate member is left partly tied to the metal thin plate, the plate member is press formed into a tubular body having the at least two inner diameters, and the plate member partly tied to the metal thin plate is cut apart to produce the metal tube having at least two inner diameters.

  • Publication number: 20020052580
Abstract: A drug injection needle 1 comprises a puncturing needle part 2 that has a puncturing part 21 that is capable of puncturing a body, a drug introducing needle part 3 that is capable of communicating with the inside of the drug container, and a housing 4 that supports the puncturing needle part 2 and the drug introducing needle part 3 in such a way as to allow the liquid drug to flow between the needle parts 2 and 3. The outer diameter of the puncturing part 21 is not more than 0.254 mm. The outer diameter of the drug introducing needle part 3 is larger than at least that of the vicinity of the distal end of the puncturing part 21 of the puncturing needle part 2, and a cutting edge 31 is formed at the end of the drug introducing needle part 3 for penetrating through an elastic member that is provided to seal the drug injection port of the drug container.
