    Abstract: A detachable chain composed of chain links is broadly used as a conveyor chain with attachments for various kinds of articles to be conveyed, or as a power transmitting chain. The conventional chain of this type, however, could convey only light load when used as a conveyor chain and could run only at a low speed when used as a power transmitting chain. This invention provides a detachable chain improved both in the rupture strength and service life, as well as a method of producing the same.
