  • Publication number: 20080098700
Abstract: A stirrup mounting device includes a stirrup attachment bar adapted for attachment to a stirrup strap loop extending from a saddle and a stirrup mounting bracket attached to a stirrup. The stirrup mounting bracket may be pivotally attached to the stirrup attachment bar so that the stirrup can rotate with respect to the stirrup strap loop about a vertical pivot axis. The vertical pivot axis is offset with respect to at least one of a vertical axis extending centrally through the stirrup strap loop and a vertical axis extending centrally through the stirrup so that the stirrup is offset toward the rear end of the stirrup attachment bar when the stirrup is rotated to a riding position. The stirrup mounting device can be used alone, or can be combined as part of a stirrup extender device where both the stirrup extender and the stirrup mounting device share a common stirrup attachment arm.

  • Patent number: 5971338
Abstract: The failure rate of the mounting structure for mounting the induction coil modules in an induction furnace is reduced by replacing the normal rigid supporting rods used to secure the induction coil modules to the furnace housing or frame with flexible mounting members. The flexible mounting members include a length of flexible material such as steel cable. Apparatus, such as a threaded rod, for securing the mounting member to the furnace housing is secured, as by swedging, to one end of the flexible material. Apparatus, such as a clevis, for securing the mounting member to the induction coil module is secured, as by swedging, to the other end of the flexible material.

  • Patent number: 5037239
Abstract: A fluid tight structure or vault particularly suited to having hazardous liquid storage tanks located therein for storage of liquids such as gasoline, and used as a replacement for underground storage tanks in facilities such as gasoline stations, truck stops, or industrial plants, so that the storage tanks are available for periodic inspection and any leakage from such tanks is contained within the structure to avoid contaminating surrounding ground, is constructed of prefabricated concrete panels having weldable material embedded therein where the panels meet so that the panels may be seal welded together along adjacent edges to provide the fluid tight structure. Thus, floor panels have plates of weldable material embedded therein over which wall panels having bottom edges of weldable material are placed and welded. Adjacent side edges of the wall panels are also welded. The welds provide seals between the various panels and provides structural strength to hold the panels in assembled position.
