Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for connecting an electronic device to a conference call. The method includes determining, at a conference server, whether the electronic device is VoIP-enabled. The method further includes, responsive to determining that the electronic device is VoIP-enabled, sending data to the electronic device for establishing connection to the conference call over VoIP communications; otherwise, sending data to the electronic device for establishing connection to the conference call over one of a public land mobile network (PLMN) or a public switched telephone network (PSTN).

Abstract: A method, mobile communication device, and computer-readable storage medium are provided for displaying a message associated with a received first request for establishing a connection to a conference call; receiving, on the mobile communication device, a delay option selection; displaying, based on the received delay option selection, a plurality of delay-time options, each of the plurality of delay-time options providing a delay time for establishing a connection to the conference call; and receiving a selection of one of the plurality of delay-time options associated with a time for establishing a connection to the conference call.

Abstract: Methods and devices are provided for modifying key functionality based on context of a user interface. A system configured to practice the method presents a graphical user interface, the graphical user interface providing a user interface element for data entry, and analyzes a user interaction via the user interface element and a context of the user interaction within the user interface element. Based on the user interaction and the context, the system activates a non-default mode for a key having a default mode. The key can be a physical key or a key in a virtual on-display keyboard. The default mode can be inserting a character such as a period or a comma, and the non-default mode can be launching voice input. The system receives, via the key, input directed to the user interface element, and performs an action associated with the non-default mode in response to the input.

Abstract: A method comprises displaying, by an electronic device, a first string corresponding to a received input sequence, determining whether the first string comprises a first part of a complete storage address following a predetermined address convention, and responsive to the determining, displaying a second string associated with the first string and following the predetermined address convention. The second string is a second part of the complete storage address, and the complete storage address further comprises a third part following the second part.
