  • Patent number: 9474261
Abstract: A remotely controlled tip up assembly for ice fishing includes a platform with a linear slot and a spindle and spool assembly on a rotatable mounting block secured therein with a trigger opposite the spool. A spring-biased signal pole on the platform reversibly engages the trigger member. A signal system actuated upon movement of the signal pole includes a flag, a light and an audible signal. A communications component on the platform includes a power source connected to the light, audible signal, a second light illuminating the trigger on the shaft and spindle assembly, a radio signal source, and an ON/OFF switch. A separate remote control device for radio communication with the electronics component includes a second signaling means to notify the fisherman of actuation of the signal system.

  • Patent number: 8505685
Abstract: A roof scaffolding system includes a curved roof hook attached to a linear, metal membrane strip unit having connector rivets and nail holes. The metal strip includes double slot keyholes and attachment apertures that engage corresponding rivets on the roof hook. The opposite end of the metal strip includes connector rivets engaging double slot keyholes of an identical metal strip, extending opposite the roof hook. The nail holes allow attachment of wood spacers beneath the metal strips. Multiple strips are joined extending from the peak to the roof edge. A coupler connector covers the connection between joined metal strips preventing disconnection. Roof jacks include both nail slots and keyholes for attachment to the metal strips, as well as safety hooks for attachment of a lanyard from the scaffolding to workers. The roof jacks hold a plank that spans adjacent metal strips, the plank providing a place to stand.

  • Patent number: 7395628
Abstract: A fishing system with audio and visual signals is capable of use with both tip ups and tip downs. The fishing system includes a tower like tubular support extending from a base member configured to receive at least on tip down. The tubular support includes a tubular visual signal housed at a location on the support and an audio signal housed within the support. The tubular support includes a first wiring outlet configured for wiring a switch on the tip downs to the audio and visual signals and a second wiring outlet for wiring a switch on the tip ups to the audio and visual signals.

  • Publication number: 20070169395
Abstract: A fishing system capable of use with a tip up includes a transparent housing fixedly mounted to the flag rod of a standard tip up. A plurality of LEDs is mounted to the surface of the fishing system. A lantern light is disposed inside the transparent housing. A wiring harness is operably coupled to the lantern light and LEDs and is in communication with a battery box that houses a battery and electronics for powering and operating the LEDs and lantern lights, and an audible alarm. The system is configured to illuminate upon the triggering of the tip up by a fish strike of the fishing rod. Alternative embodiments include a fishing hook retainer device fixedly mounted to the surface of the tip up and a transparent storage container for movement and storage of the system. Additionally, a remote control and accompanying sensors may be mounted to the surface of the system to perform a variety of functions.
