    Abstract: A polymeric composition comprising a styrenic polymer and a plasticizer, wherein the plasticizer comprises a polyisoalkylene and wherein the composition has a Vicat softening point of from 210° F. to 217° F. A method of increasing the impact strength of a styrenic polymer comprising contacting the styrenic polymer with an elastomer and a polyisoalkylene. A method of preparing a high impact polystyrene comprising introducing styrene monomer, an elastomer, polyisobutylene and mineral oil to a reaction zone under conditions suitable for the formation of a styrenic polymer.
