  • Patent number: 11814553
Abstract: Described herein is a two-part condensation curable adhesive composition suitable for adhering a front lens having an inner surface coated with an anti-haze coating to a lamp body to create a sealed lamp unit. In general, once cured in place, residual ingredients from the adhesive composition or by-products of cure reactions thereof do not visibly inhibit functionality of the anti-haze coating of the sealed lamp unit.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 30, 2019
Date of Patent: November 14, 2023
    Assignee: DOW SILICONES CORPORATION

  • Publication number: 20150315779
Abstract: A composite non-vision insulation panel unit comprising an exterior sheet and an interior sheet which define a cavity there between, said cavity housing one or more insulation panels. The insulation panel(s) is/are spaced apart from said interior and exterior sheets respectively by means of a damping material having a shore A hardness value in the range of from 0 to 60 according to ASTM D 2240-05(2010), and the composite non-vision insulation panel unit is sealed with a sealant which maintains the cavity width between said interior and exterior sheet and encloses the cavity of the composite non-vision insulation panel units.

  • Patent number: 8153724
Abstract: A moisture curable composition is capable of cure to an elastomeric body. The composition includes an extended polymer, a suitable cross-linking agent, a suitable condensation catalyst, an organic plasticizer, and one or more fillers. The extended polymer includes an organosiloxane containing polymer of a specific formula and an organic extender selected from linear or branched mono unsaturated hydrocarbons, wherein the organopolysiloxane polymer comprises from 5 to 20% by weight of the composition. The cross-linking agent includes at least two hydroxyl and/or hydrolysable groups reactive with the organopolysiloxane polymer. The organic plasticizer is selected from one or more of the group of natural drying oils, fatty acid(s), fatty acid esters, polyols, and organic phosphates.

  • Patent number: 8076411
Abstract: A method of making a diluted polysiloxane containing polymer comprising the steps of: i) Preparing a polysiloxane containing polymer by the polycondensation of siloxane containing monomers and/or oligomers which comprise condensable groups in the presence of an organopolysiloxane and/or an organic based diluent material, a suitable catalyst and optionally an end-blocking agent; and ii) Where required quenching the polymerization process; wherein the diluent material is substantially retained within the resulting diluted organopolysiloxane.

  • Publication number: 20090234052
Abstract: A coatable sealant composition comprising a moisture curable composition capable of cure to an elastomeric body comprising (a) an extended polymer comprising (i) an organosiloxane polymer of the formula X-A-X1 where X and X1 are independently selected from silyl groups containing hydroxyl or hydrolysable groups selected from —SiOH3, —(Ra)SiOH2, —(Ra)2SiOH, —RaSi(ORb)2, —Si(ORb)3, —Ra2SiORb and —Ra2Si —Rc—SiRdp(ORb)3?p where each Ra independently represents a monovalent hydrocarbyl group, each Rb and Rd group is independently an alkyl or alkoxy group in which the alkyl groups suitably have up to 6 carbon atoms; Rc is a divalent hydrocarbon group which may be interrupted by one or more siloxane spacers having up to six silicon atoms; and p has the value 0, 1 or 2; and A is an organopolysiloxane containing molecular chain; and (ii) an organic extender (b) a suitable cross-linking agent which has at least two hydroxyl and/or hydrolysable groups reactive with the organopolysiloxane polymer, (c)
