  • Patent number: 11774696
Abstract: An enclosure (10) includes a base (38) defining a splice region (148) and a cover (40) coupled to the base (38) to move between a closed position and an open position. A plurality of ruggedized adapters (26) are on the cover (40), each adapter having an inner port (64) and an outer port (66). A removable module (32) is disposed on the cover (40), at least one input fiber (12) being routed from the splice region (148) of the base (38) to the removable module (32), wherein the at least one input fiber (12) is output from the module as a pigtail (28) having a connectorized end that is connected to an inner port (64) of a ruggedized adapter (26). A cable input location (16) receives an input cable (14/20) including at least one tube (138) surrounding at least one fiber (12) that carries the same signal as the at least one input fiber (12) being routed from the splice region (148) to the removable module (32). The input cable (14/20) is anchored to the base (38) at the cable input location (16).

  • Patent number: 11359695
Abstract: Universal cable attachments for securing a cable in a secured position utilize a pair of counter-rotating lobes or one lobe and a counter surface to clamp against the cable. The lobes are configured such that they can accept a variety of cable diameters, thus eliminating the need for the provision of multiple sizes of unique cable attachments in certain applications. The lobes are configured such that they provide little or no resistance to a cable being inserted in an insertion direction and such that they lock against the cable when the cable is pulled in the opposite direction. The lobes may have eccentrically oriented tapered channels to accomplish the clamping function The lobes may include a plurality of differently sized plates to accomplish the clamping function.

  • Patent number: 11327265
Abstract: A clamp assembly includes a first clamp half-piece and a second clamp half-piece. In one example, the clamp half-pieces are identically shaped. In one example, each of the clamp half-pieces has at least one integral pin and at least one aperture. The first and second clamp half-pieces are pivotally connected to each other via a first snap-fit interface in which the integral pin of the first clamp half-piece snap-fits into the at least one aperture of the second clamp half-piece. The clamp assembly can also include a link arm connected to the first clamp half-piece via a second snap-fit interface. A lever arm can also be included that is pivotally connected to the link arm via a third snap-fit interface. The clamp assembly does not require separate link pins or other parts and only includes four components: the clamp half-pieces, the link arm, and the lever arm.

  • Patent number: 9027431
Abstract: An apparatus having a member that revolves about a remote center of motion (RCM) and a base link coupled to a mounting fixture. A first and second link are pivotably coupled to the member at respective distances from the RCM and are translatable relative to the base link along a first direction, at a fixed ratio of displacement. The ratio of respective distances equals a fixed ratio of displacement. The apparatus has a translational motion generator for a first and second element along parallel opposing directions. The translational motion generator is disposed on the first link and enables motion parallel to the first direction. The base link is fixed in position, the first element is fixed to the base link and the second element is fixed to the second link, such that the first and second link may translate relative to the base link with fixed ratio of displacement.

  • Publication number: 20120132018
Abstract: Apparatus comprising a member (6) arranged to revolve about a remote centre of motion (O) and a base link (3) coupled to a mounting fixture (1). A first link (4) and a second link (5) are pivotably coupled to the member at respective distances (L1, L2) from the remote centre of motion (O) and are translatable relative to the base link (3) along a first direction and at a fixed ratio of displacement. The ratio of said respective distances equals said fixed ratio of displacement, enabling the member (6) to revolve about the remote centre of motion. The apparatus is characterised in that it comprises means (7) for generating translational motion of a first element (37) and of a second element (57) along parallel but opposite directions. The means for generating translational motion is provided on the first link (4) and is arranged to provide motion parallel to the first direction.
