  • Patent number: 10293761
Abstract: A vehicle trim element has a panel that includes at least one colored mask having solid areas and at least one aperture delimiting a pattern, and a colored screen transmitting light and closing each aperture of the mask. The mask and the screen are substantially of the same color so that the pattern is visible when the panel is backlit and substantially invisible in the absence of backlighting.

  • Patent number: 9751461
Abstract: A device for displaying at least one pictogram inside a vehicle passenger compartment. The device includes a light source suitable for emitting light in response to a control signal, and an opaque covering layer having a through opening defining the pictogram. A photosensitive layer extends facing or in the opening. When the light source is deactivated, the photosensitive layer is opaque and has the same color as the covering layer. When the light source is activated, the photosensitive layer reacts so as to render the pictogram defined by the opening of the covering layer visible for an occupant of the vehicle passenger compartment.

  • Patent number: 8795459
Abstract: A vehicle interior trim element has at least one substrate layer covered with a skin having an outer surface containing a plurality of asperities, regularly distributed on the outer surface. The outer surface of the skin defines an outer surface of the trim element that is visible within the vehicle interior. The trim element may be processed by applying a heat source on part of the outer surface forming a decorative area, the application of the heat source being arranged to at least reduce the height of the asperities in the decorative areas such that the decorative area has a different appearance from the rest of the outer surface.
