  • Publication number: 20230038814
Abstract: A method for providing a high-speed data communication between a host and field-programmable gate array (“FPGA”) is disclosed. The method, in one embodiment, is capable of identifying a data rate on a bus containing a P-channel and an N-channel operable to transmit signals in accordance with a high-speed Universal Serial Bus (“USB”) protocol. Upon sampling, by a first input deserializer, first two samples of data signals carried by the P-channel in accordance with a first clock signals clocking twice as fast as the data rate of the P-channel, a second input deserializer is used to sample the second two samples of data signals transmitted by the N-channel in accordance with a second clock signal running twice as fast as the data rate of the N-channel with a ninety (90) degree phase shift. The method subsequently forwards the data signals to one or more configurable logic blocks (“LBs”) in FPGA.

  • Publication number: 20230036314
Abstract: The present disclosure provides cam activated wire termination assemblies for electrical wiring devices. The electrical wiring devices include a cover and a base. The base has a wire chamber supporting a wire termination assembly. The wire termination assembly includes a wire fastening member and a conductive member. The wire fastening member has a cam surface and is rotatable between an open position and a securing position. The conductive member is positioned in close proximity to the wire fastening member such that a gap is provided between the wire fastening member and the conductive member when the wire fastening member is in the open position. When the wire fastening member is rotated from the open position to the securing position, the cam surface rotates to reduce the size of the gap between the wire fastening member and the conductive member.

  • Patent number: 11564572
Abstract: A system and associated methods for round-the-clock monitoring of an animal's health status includes an animal harness that is worn by the animal, and one or both of a mobile device and a remote server. The animal harness includes a plurality of sensors for collecting health measurements of the animal. The animal harness also includes a transceiver that communicates the heath measurements to one or both of the mobile device and the remote server, where a user may view the health measurements. Firmware in the animal harness, an application running in the mobile device, and software in the remote server processes and corrects the health measurements to generate a health status of the animal and notifications are generated when the animal's health is not within a safe range defined by the user.

  • Publication number: 20220206476
Abstract: Systems and methods for addressing gaps in an industrial operation due to operator variability are disclosed herein. In one aspect of this disclosure, a method for addressing gaps in an industrial operation due to operator variability includes processing input data received from one or more data sources to identify a best operator of a plurality of operators responsible for managing the industrial operation, and determining if one or more gaps exist in the economic operation of the industrial operation due to operator variability between the best operator and operators other than the best operator. Identified gaps may be analyzed to determine if relevant characteristics associated with the gaps justify at least one solution for addressing the gaps for the particular industrial operation. At least one solution may be identified and mapped to the gaps in some instances.

  • Patent number: 11301164
Abstract: A multi-actuator storage device includes separate actuators that can be used to access a storage medium. A property of a request can be analyzed to determine which actuator to use to access data associated with the request. For example, high-priority requests can be handled by an actuator designated for random I/O requests, whereas low-priority requests can be handled by an actuator designated for sequential I/O requests. Writes can be treated as low-priority requests. In a particular embodiment, a priority bit can be used to determine which actuator is used to access the data.

  • Patent number: 10923152
Abstract: Technologies are provided for partially updating shingled magnetic recording (SMR) zones in SMR storage devices. An SMR storage device can receive and process a command to update a write pointer for an SMR zone to point to an arbitrary write position within the SMR zone. A partial SMR zone update command can be received and processed to modify part of the data stored in the SMR zone. A write position within the SMR zone where data to be modified is stored can be identified. Data stored in the SMR zone following the identified write position can be read to a temporary location and modified. A write pointer for the SMR zone can be updated to point to the identified write position. The modified data can then be written to the SMR zone, starting at the write position identified by the write pointer, or to another SMR zone of the storage device.

  • Patent number: 10865016
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a squeezable container having first and second compartments for storing and dispensing a plurality of items. The container may be used for storing food items and remnant food waste in the first or second compartments while keeping them physically separate to prevent mixing of fresh food and waste products. The squeezable container may be made of a resilient, flexible material which retains its original shape while allowing a user to deform the container to access the first and second containers, Apertures in top and bottom caps of the container assembly flexibly deform to allow access to the first and second compartments when the top and bottom caps are squeezed by a user, while retaining food items therein when not squeezed by the user.

  • Patent number: 10706212
Abstract: In some examples, additional content is provided with the main content of a content item presented on an electronic device. For instance, an occurrence of an event may call for presentation of an additional content portion concurrently with the main content of the content item. The additional content portion may interact with other additional content portions, the main content portion, and/or user inputs. In some cases, the additional content portion can be implemented by one or more plug-in modules having designated roles for providing respective different types of additional content. Accordingly, some examples provide a cross-platform module that receives events, selects one or more plug-ins in response to a received event, and causes the one or more plug-ins to perform a desired action for rendering and compositing additional content portions or features to be presented with the main content of a content item.
