  • Patent number: 10909814
Abstract: A card game system/method pitting players against a live or virtual dealer. Players make two mandatory wagers and optionally place bonus and jackpot wagers followed by each player and the dealer receiving six cards. Each player and the dealer must set the six cards into three, two-card hands based on pre-established rules. The main and play wagers are resolved based on a comparison of the player's three hands to the dealer's three hands, respectively. The bonus wager relates to the strongest five-card poker hand formed using the six cards and the jackpot is paid if the player wins all three hands and the two cards of the first hand meet a minimum threshold (e.g., Ace high or better). An automatic winning hand may be utilized as well. For example, any player receiving the King of Spades and King of Clubs would win their main and play wagers automatically. A player v. player (e.g., home version) version of the game is also disclosed.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 19, 2018
Date of Patent: February 2, 2021
    Assignee: Showdown Games, LLC

  • Publication number: 20160025364
Abstract: Electronic controller apparatus for automatically controlling and managing load demand and operation of energy-consuming equipment powered by alternating electrical power current, whereby feedback signals from a vapor compression evaporator or other source, and possibly other physical signals, are used to supplement the pre-fixed, learned, or default settings to optimize compressor operation (run time) in cooling and refrigeration equipment, and thereby to improve heat transfer in the evaporator. The effect is to improve the Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER), Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER), and Coefficient of Performance (COP) for the unit, and provide other advantages and improvements. In gas-, oil-, and propane-fired HVAC&R heating systems, the apparatus can also optimize burner operation and thereby improve heat transfer across the burner heat exchanger. HVAC&R systems that incorporate the demand controller and methods of their operation also are provided.

  • Publication number: 20120273581
Abstract: An electronic controller device for automatic control of a heating, ventilating, air conditioning or refrigeration (HVAC&R) system has a digital recycle counter that is capable of intercepting a thermostat command for cooling, refrigeration, or heating and replacing the thermostat command with a modulated binary signal that operates in an “on” state or “off” state, and a computer-readable storage medium that comprises a program that includes an auto-configuration mode that is capable of determining a base line performance of the HVAC&R system through a commissioning phase and is capable of determining an adjusted performance based on energy consumption, temperature regulation, humidity regulation, or power limit or any combination thereof. The program can adjust the digital recycle counter “on” and “off” states based on the adjusted performance determination to reduce energy consumption.

  • Patent number: 6858678
Abstract: A continuous bulk polymerization and esterification process includes continuously charging into a reaction zone at least one ethylenically unsaturated acid-functional monomer and at least one linear or branched chain alkanol having greater than 11 carbon atoms. The process includes maintaining a flow rate through the reaction zone sufficient to provide an average residence time of less than 60 minutes and maintaining a temperature in the reaction zone sufficient to produce a polymeric product incorporating at least some of the alkanol as an ester of the polymerized ethylenically unsaturated acid-functional monomer. The polymeric product is used in various processes to produce water-based compositions including emulsions and dispersions such as oil emulsions, wax dispersions, pigment dispersions, surfactants and coatings which contain the polymeric product.
