  • Patent number: 6625264
Abstract: In order to produce an accelerated connection between a subscriber terminal (1, 2) and a data network terminal (15) given a traditional switching system (3) and in order to avoid an uneconomical system load, it is provided that the subscriber terminal (1, 2) generates a special dial signal for dialing into the data network terminal (15). The switching system (3) must be fashioned in this case such that it recognizes the special dial signal and, upon its arrival, immediately initiates a forwarding to the data terminal network terminal (15).

  • Patent number: 6507199
Abstract: For measuring the operating properties of a subscriber line module (1) for high bit rate data transmission, a test signal is generated within the module and supplied into a test line (6) with a defined line termination (7) who line or terminating properties are known. The echo signal arising in the test line (6) as a result of the test signal is in turn detected in the subscriber line module (1) and interpreted for evaluating the operating properties.

  • Patent number: 6236719
Abstract: For modem connections via telephone lines, modems that respectively correspond to the modems of the terminal equipment side are arranged in the subscriber line circuits of the telephone switching centers as close as possible to the entry point of the subscriber line circuits. Modem communication only respectively between these pairs.

  • Patent number: 6108414
Abstract: A circuit arrangement for a subscriber-remote termination of a subscriber line, high-bit rate data signals and analog telephone signals. The arrangement integrates exchange-side devices, a splitter and a modem into a subscriber line circuit for the subscriber line. Additionally, the exchange-side devices, splitter and modem may be protected from overvoltages by an overvoltage protection circuit contained within the subscriber line circuit.
