  • Patent number: 10958582
Abstract: A method of operating a data network may include establishing a data path through the data network between a routing gateway and service provider equipment providing a data service. Moreover, the data service may be provided for use at the routing gateway over the data path during a data session. A request may be received from the service provider equipment where the request defines a data flow characteristic for the data path between the routing gateway and the service provider equipment providing the data service. The data flow characteristic may then be transmitted to a network element along the data path between the routing gateway and the service provider equipment. A request from service provider equipment can include an allowed bandwidth or prioritization. Related methods, data networks, data service providers, routing gateways, and computer program products are also discussed.

  • Patent number: 10711683
Abstract: A method for cooling an engine includes increasing the pressure of a liquid coolant from a first pressure to a second pressure. Thereafter, components of the engine to be cooled are contacted with the liquid coolant so that the liquid coolant at least partially evaporates and forms a vapor with a particular state. Thereafter, the vapor is fed to a throttle to reduce the pressure of the liquid coolant to a third pressure. The particular state of the vapor is determined based on the temperature and the third pressure of the liquid coolant downstream of the throttle, and based on the second pressure of the liquid coolant under an assumption that the throttle is an adiabatic throttle such that enthalpy of the liquid coolant remains constant as the liquid coolant passes the throttle. A desired vapor state adjustment is made based on the determined particular state of the vapor.

  • Publication number: 20190336683
Abstract: Disclosed are a system, methods and computer-readable medium products that provide safety constraints for an insulin-delivery management program. Various examples provide safety constraints for a control algorithm-based drug delivery system that provides automatic delivery of a drug based on sensor input. Glucose measurement values may be received at regular time intervals from a sensor. A processor may predict future glucose values based on prior glucose measurement values. The safety constraints assist in safe operation of the drug delivery system during various operational scenarios. In some examples, predicted future glucose values may be used to implement safety constraints that mitigate under-delivery or over-delivery of the drug while not overly burdening the user of the drug delivery system and without sacrificing performance of the drug delivery system. Other safety constraints are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10385244
Abstract: The present invention comprises a single-component binder for heat-sealing applications which can be used for the sealing of polyester foils, in particular of polyethylene terephthalate foils (PET foils) with respect to containers made of polystyrene, of PVC, and of polyester. These polyesters can in particular be polyethylene terephthalate (PET) or polylactic acid (PLA). The binders here feature not only good seal seam strengths but also in particular good transparency and excellent application properties. A substantive aspect of the invention is that the sealing can be achieved without addition of adhesion promoters, in particular without addition of adhesion promoters based on polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or on polyester, and that barrier properties and sealing properties achieved in respect of containers made of PS and of PET are nevertheless at least comparable with, and sometimes better than, those achieved with heat-sealing systems already marketed.
