  • Publication number: 20240120513
Abstract: A freeze protection method for a fuel cell system is disclosed. The fuel cell system includes an evaporative cooler device equipped for cooling a heat exchanger of a fuel cell device of the fuel cell system having a feed line, through which during the operation of the fuel cell system, water is pumped to a sprinkling device of the evaporative cooler device and by way of the sprinkling device, the water is applied onto the heat exchanger equipped for temperature-controlling a fuel cell stack of the fuel cell device. The method includes blowing out the evaporative cooler device as part of a deactivation method of the fuel cell system.

  • Publication number: 20240116334
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for sprinkling a heat exchanger of a fuel cell vehicle with a fluid. The heat exchanger comprises a sprinkling surface and at least one group with at least one part surface. All part surfaces of all groups together fully represent the sprinkling surface. In the method, all part surfaces of the group are sprinkled with the fluid within a sprinkling period and not sprinkled within a drying period. The invention also relates to a sprinkling system for carrying out the method.

  • Patent number: 11929527
Abstract: A fuel cell device of a motor vehicle is disclosed. The fuel cell device includes a fuel cell, a supply air path leading to the fuel cell for a cathode supply air flow, and an exhaust air path leading away from the fuel cell for a cathode exhaust air flow. The supply air path and the exhaust air path are routed through a humidifier that humidifies the supply air and dehumidifies the exhaust air. The exhaust air path is further routed through a water separator that removes water from the exhaust air to provide evaporation water. A heat exchanger for cooling the fuel cell is provided that has an evaporative cooler for cooling the heat exchanger. The evaporative cooler is assigned to the water separator in fluidic communication and is supplied with evaporation water by the water separator.

  • Patent number: 7938060
Abstract: A method of manufacturing breadcrumbs, including the steps of forming a mixture, extruding the mixture to form loaves, surface drying the loaves in a first drying step, comminuting the loaves to form particles having a smaller size than the loaves, and further drying the particles in a second drying step to obtain the breadcrumbs.

  • Publication number: 20050181114
Abstract: A method for producing modified flour or modified powdery to granular, especially fine-grained starch-containing products made of a ground or comminuted raw product containing predominantly starch, such as starch or flour from cereals or tubers, especially wheat, rye flour, cornflour, potato flour, tapioca flour, etc. Also disclosed is a system for carrying out said method. Agglomerates obtained by extrusion and agglomeration have a lower agglomeration level than the individual non-agglomerated particles when dissolved/suspended in water.

  • Publication number: 20050147733
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the production of a granular to powdery mixture of substances comprising starch. A first component comprising at least one starch is mixed in an extruder with a second component comprising at least water. According to the invention, a) the total water content of the mixture comprising the first component and the second component is less than 40 wt-%, particularly, between 15%-20%; b) during the mixing and cooking process in the extruder, the temperature is between 120° C.-250° C., preferably 160° C.-220° C.; c) the extruder material obtained in the extruder is dried; and d) the dried extruded material is ground and sieved.
