  • Patent number: 11988708
Abstract: The disclosed technology generally relates to integrated circuit devices with wear out monitoring capability. An integrated circuit device includes a wear-out monitor device configured to record an indication of wear-out of a core circuit separated from the wear-out monitor device, wherein the indication is associated with localized diffusion of a diffusant within the wear-out monitor device in response to a wear-out stress that causes the wear-out of the core circuit.

  • Patent number: 11990746
Abstract: An apparatus detects complex time-variant electromagnetic disturbances resulting from a high-altitude nuclear electromagnetic pulse (EMP) or solar storm. The device relies on a circuit (104, 1301) to monitor the input power lines (301, 401, 501) for sustained conducted electrical disturbances associated with the E3 phase of an EMP or solar storm. A separate circuit (105, 1302) monitors the power lines and the ambient environment (503) for transient electromagnetic pulse disturbances associated with the E1 and E2 phases of an EMP. When sustained electrical disturbances or transient electromagnetic pulse disturbances are detected, the apparatus provides a visual alarm (603. 609), audible alarm (608), and discrete indication signal (607) that can be used to disconnect (702) or redirect the flow of electrical power.

  • Patent number: 11985064
Abstract: A detection mechanism is disclosed for identifying peers transmitting network traffic towards a cloud provider using routing prefixes that were not advertised for that peer. Once detected, an alarm condition can occur and the peer notified to remove any static route configurations. In one embodiment, a collector server computer can be used to acquire routing prefixes advertised to a peer. A second server computer can be used to obtain network traffic received from the peer. A comparison can then be made between the advertised prefixes and the network traffic being received. If network traffic is being received for unadvertised prefixes, then an alarm condition can occur. The detection mechanism can regularly inspect active traffic flows against BGP route advertisements at fixed intervals. For peers that are identified that are not in compliance with route advertisements, the alarm condition can occur for follow-up remediation.

  • Patent number: 11949228
Abstract: A multi-stage surge protection device protects against complex, time-variant voltage transients, including those resulting from a high-altitude nuclear electromagnetic pulse or a solar coronal mass ejection. The transient voltage suppressor limits the let-through voltage to a clamping level and provides indication to the crowbar circuit when it is no longer able to do so. Once the clamping level is no longer able to be maintained, the crowbar circuit draws enough current to trip an upstream protective device, such as a breaker or fuse. A low-pass filter can be added to significantly lower the let-through voltage of the device for short-duration pulses, and help to spread the energy to more effectively utilize the transient voltage suppressor.

  • Publication number: 20240069961
Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for individually deploying batch functions in a cluster computing environment. A batch function system may receive a scheduled batch job for execution at a particular timing. Rather than deploying the corresponding batch functions as a bundled monolith, the batch function system may individually deploy corresponding batch functions. To individually deploy the batch functions, the batch function system may use a verticle data structure for defining a batch job. The batch function system may then execute a batch function corresponding to the batch job on a cluster computing platform by deploying the batch function to a pod executing on computing nodes. Upon individual completion of execution, the batch function system may release the pod and/or computing nodes to make the computing resources available. The batch function system may also preserve and pass data between pods executing batch functions.

  • Publication number: 20230296657
Abstract: An apparatus detects an E3 phase and E1 and E2 phases of an electromagnetic pulse (EMP). A pulse detector detects E1 and E2. A sustained level detector connects to a mains utility power supply line to detect E3. A delay timer holds an indication of a detected E1 or E2 for a predetermined time limit of about 10 minutes. A latch holds an indication that an EMP has occurred when an E3 occurs following an E1 or E2 within the predetermined time limit. An alarm indicates an EMP. A mechanical actuator disconnects the mains utility power supply line from utility power when an EMP is so indicated. The mechanical actuator can be mounted to a panel front face of a circuit breaker box in a configuration to push open a switch surface of a circuit breaker switch lever.

  • Publication number: 20230246943
Abstract: A system can determine by which path/tunnel an Internet destination can be best reached for a user with an IP address from a static BGP range. The system looks up the destination address in an egress map. This map can either specify a tunnel that should be used for encapsulation for static BGP, or (when tunnel is not present) cause the system to send out unencapsulated traffic, in which the traffic follows normal BGP routing on a border network.

  • Patent number: 11692483
Abstract: A system for lubricating components of a gas turbine engine includes a supply pump to pump lubricant from a reservoir through a supply conduit to lubricated component. An outer body deicing circuit is fluidly coupled in series with the supply conduit. Moreover, a scavenge conduit extends from the lubricated component to the reservoir and a scavenge pump pumps the lubricant from the lubricated component through the scavenge conduit. In addition, a valve is fluidly coupled in series with the supply conduit and the scavenge conduit and a bypass conduit extends from the valve to a location on the supply conduit downstream of the deicing circuit. When the lubricant is supplied to the valve, the valve directs the lubricant flowing through the scavenge conduit into the reservoir. When the supply of lubricant to the valve is halted, the valve directs the lubricant flowing through the scavenge conduit into the bypass conduit.
