  • Publication number: 20220065188
Abstract: An internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle includes an element at the cylinder inner wall for scraping off oil carbon. The internal combustion engine includes at least one working cylinder and a cylinder head closing the working cylinder, the working cylinder including a cylinder barrel and/or a cylinder liner (1), and which includes at least one element in the area of the cylinder head, which is suitable for scraping off any accumulated oil carbon.

  • Publication number: 20180111438
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for measuring height in a vehicle by determining a distance between a vehicle chassis and a vehicle axle or parts connected thereto. In the method, a first device (12) with a first transmitter (13) and a first receiver (14) and a second device (15) with a second transmitter (16) and a second receiver (17) interact. In particular, the first transmitter (13) produces an electromagnetic field, and the second receiver (17) detects the electromagnetic field. The second device (15) with the second transmitter (16) produces a signal from the detected field and transmits the signal, which correlates with the distance from the first transmitter (13) to the second receiver (17). The first device (12) with the first receiver (14) receives the signal. A system, an electronically controlled pneumatic suspension, an electronic control unit, and a vehicle are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 6049140
Abstract: A battery disconnection system (10) for mounting directly on a terminal (12) of a battery (16) of a motor vehicle comprising a housing (32); a battery terminal connector (17) secured to the housing; a normally closed electrical switch (20) mounted inside the housing; an electrical conductor (18) connected to the battery terminal connector and to one side (21) of the switch; one or more fuses (28) mounted inside the housing, and connected between the other side (23) of the switch and output terminals (29) mounted on the housing; a sensor (22) for detecting an adverse condition; an electromagnetically operated device (24) mounted inside the housing and electrically connected to the sensor, mechanically connected to the switch, and actuable on receipt of an adverse condition signal from the sensor to open the switch; and a manual control (26) mounted on the housing and mechanically connected to the switch for manually operating the switch. Reversible protection system with manual operation.
