  • Patent number: 6600640
Abstract: The invention relates to an electromagnetic relay, comprising a magnetic system (6) with an exciting field coil (WR), a core and an armature. Each load current circuit can be closed by a movable contact element and by at least one fixed contact element. A reed contact (KR) is coupled to a load current conductor (1) in each load current circuit. Means to generate and process an overcurrent signal and to disconnect the control current are coupled to the reed contact (KR).

  • Patent number: 6073302
Abstract: A detection means for filter means in vacuum cleaners, into which in addition to a vacuum cleaner bag at least one additional filter is able to be inserted. It comprises a sensor means responsive to the filter means inserted into said vacuum cleaner and switch means controlled by said sensor means for preventing switching of the vacuum cleaner motor if said filter means is not correctly recognized. The at least one electronic sensor means responsive to a detectable element in or on at least one additional filter by means of electromagnetic waves is connected with the switching means via an evaluating or processing means, adapted to check the correct position and design of the at least one detectable element.

  • Patent number: 6049265
Abstract: The load section switch is connected between a pole post (4) and a main circuit (8) with a contact arrangement (14, 15, 36). Via a manually actuated switch arm (45), the contact arrangement can be locked in its closed condition, whereby the locking ensues via a switch pawl (39). This switch pawl (39), on the other hand, is coupled to the armature (28) of an electromagnet system (26, 27). In this way, the contact arrangement can be unlocked and the circuit can be interrupted via the electromagnet system given the occurrence of a malfunction condition. Given an accident or a short, the on-board network of a motor vehicle can be quickly disconnected from the current with this section switch in order to reduce the risk of fire or to prevent a discharge of the battery given some other malfunction condition.

  • Patent number: 5907886
Abstract: A detector device for filter bags in vacuum cleaners which comprises a sensor device adapted to sense a tabular or plate-like connection member of such vacuum cleaner filter bag and switching means controlled by the sensor device for preventing switching-on of the motor of the vacuum cleaner if the connection member is not properly detected. The electronic sensor device is adapted to sense at least one detectable element in or on the connection member by electromagnetic waves and is connected with the switching means by a processing device for checking the correct position and correct type of the at least one detectable element. This means that it is not only possible to check for the presence of a filter bag in the vacuum cleaner but furthermore to discriminate whether same is correctly fitted and is of the right type for the said vacuum cleaner so that impairment of and damage to the vacuum cleaner by mounting the wrong type of filter bag is prevented.

  • Patent number: 5808533
Abstract: The modular relay has a base (1) on which a relay system (2, 3, 4) is constructed, as well as a printed circuit board (6) which stands upright on the base. Contact elements (41c, 42c, 43) of the relay are directly connected to flat connectors in the base, via conductor elements. Further conductor elements in the base likewise form flat connectors as connections for a modular circuit which is arranged on the printed circuit board. All conductor elements of the base additionally form solder connecting pins (51b to 56b), which are integrally formed, which all emerge in a row on one side wall of the base, and which are soldered to the printed circuit board in the lower edge region of said printed circuit board. This results in a compact modular structure for a relay having a maximum number of connecting elements, the allocation of these connecting elements being variable for different modular circuits.
