Patent number: 11926119Abstract: Disclosed is a dunnage apparatus, including a converting station and a deflector. The converting station converts a line of high-density supply material into low-density dunnage and ejects the dunnage at an exit in an exit trajectory along a path. The deflector is repositionable with respect to the exit between a first position, in which the deflector is interposed in the path to deflect the path of the dunnage from the exit trajectory to a first deflected trajectory, and a second position. The deflector is retained in each position during the ejection of the dunnage.Type: GrantFiled: June 14, 2021Date of Patent: March 12, 2024Assignee: Pregis Innovative Packaging LLCInventors: Thomas D. Wetsch, Eric C. Wright

Publication number: 20240075703Abstract: Disclosed herein are protective packaging stock material units that are used in a dunnage system. A dunnage system includes a dunnage conversion machine and a supply station. The supply station is configured to receive fanfold stock material and manipulate the fanfold stock material into being withdrawn from the supply station in a non-planar configuration. The supply station is associated with the dunnage conversion machine such that the dunnage conversion machine operably draws fanfold stock material from the top of a stack of fanfold stock material.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 30, 2023Publication date: March 7, 2024Inventors: Thomas D. Patent number: 11473700Abstract: A clamp includes first and second bands, a pair of strut attachment legs, a screw, and a screw housing. Each band has a first end and a second end. The first band defines slots extending across a width thereof and disposed adjacent to the second end thereof. Each strut attachment leg is fixed to the first end of one of the bands. The screw housing receives the second ends of the bands and captures the screw while allowing the screw to rotate. The clamp secures a tube to a strut when the clamp is placed over the tube, the strut attachment legs are positioned relative to the strut so that notches in the strut attachment legs receive at least one of the flanges on the strut, and the screw is rotated to draw the first band further into the screw housing and thereby tighten the clamp around the tube.Type: GrantFiled: March 9, 2021Date of Patent: October 18, 2022Assignee: ZSI-Foster, Inc.Inventors: Thomas D. Wright, Joshua Blake Smith

Patent number: 10428526Abstract: A rooftop support system including at least one support block. The support block includes a base configured to rest on the rooftop, and the base has a first base section and a second base section separated by a U-shaped recess that defines a first gripping feature. The support block includes first and second sidewalls unitary with the base and extending along a length of the support block, and the first and second sidewalls each define a second gripping feature. The support block also includes third and fourth sidewalls unitary with the base and extending along a width of the support block, and the third and fourth sidewalls each define a third gripping feature. An upper surface of the support block defines an elongate channel, and a pair of apertures are formed in the elongate channel with a coupling feature embedded therein.Type: GrantFiled: March 20, 2019Date of Patent: October 1, 2019Assignee: ZSI-Foster, Inc.Inventors: Thomas D. Wright, Jeffrey R. Henry
