  • Patent number: 11922699
Abstract: According to some embodiments a system is provided. The system comprises a remote monitoring computing system that is configured to receive an alarm signal from a premises monitoring system that is configured to monitor a premises where the alarm signal is associated with an alarm event at the premises, in response to the alarm signal, obtain, from a content storage computing system, metadata corresponding to video provided by a camera at the premises, in response to the metadata, store the video in a data store of the remote monitoring computing system, and enforce an access control policy on the video in the data store where the access control policy restricts access to the video in the data store based on time and a plurality of roles of a plurality of users of the remote monitoring computing system.

  • Publication number: 20240071593
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed that provide smart alerts to users, e.g., alerts to users about diabetic states that are only provided when it makes sense to do so, e.g., when the system can predict or estimate that the user is not already cognitively aware of their current condition, e.g., particularly where the current condition is a diabetic state warranting attention. In this way, the alert or alarm is personalized and made particularly effective for that user. Such systems and methods still alert the user when action is necessary, e.g., a bolus or temporary basal rate change, or provide a response to a missed bolus or a need for correction, but do not alert when action is unnecessary, e.g., if the user is already estimated or predicted to be cognitively aware of the diabetic state warranting attention, or if corrective action was already taken.

  • Publication number: 20100212444
Abstract: This invention provides improvements to worm drives for mechanical power transmission and roller wheels and the worm screws for use in such drives. The principal innovation is utilizing conjugate mesh between the worm screw and the roller wheel by shaping both the surfaces of the threads of the worm screw and the driven surfaces of the roller tips so that they become conjugate surfaces that accomplish the most efficient energy transfer. Previous worm drive approaches have emphasized conforming shapes for the roller tips and the worm screw as well as certain other techniques in an attempt to compensate certain inherent limitations to energy transfer between driving and driven surfaces. This has caused greater energy losses in the gearing mechanism with corresponding decreased power transfer efficiency. The use of conjugate shapes for the roller tips and the driving worm gear surface represents a significant improvement to the concept.

  • Patent number: 7412757
Abstract: The Dove-Tail Sizing Stock with Solder Pockets includes the technique of increasing or reducing the size of a circular object, such as a finger ring. The sizing stock includes dovetail shaped ends with pockets of solder on each end. The solder that is inserted into the holes drilled into the dove-tail crevices on each end of the sizing stock is of the same color, karat and hardness as the sizing stock. The sizing stock will be of the same material, color, karat and hardness as the circular object or finger ring to be sized. It will be understood that the foregoing description is for illustration purposes only. Other adaptations and uses of the invention may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as set forth in the appended claims.
