  • Patent number: 5441458
Abstract: An idler roller 40 replaces idler sprockets in roller chain 20 applications to reduce wear on the system components. The roller chain side bars 24, 26 rest in parallel alignment grooves 50, 52 in the non-resilient idler 40. In a second form, the outer circumference is still rigid, but includes a resilient dampening layer thereunder.

  • Patent number: 4787461
Abstract: A shaker assembly for use on chain conveyors on harvesters is bolted to the side frame of the conveyors. The shaker assembly includes two spaced roller assemblies which carry rods of the chain conveyor. The distance between the roller assemblies may be varied such that the degree of shaking imparted to the rods as they pass over the shaker assembly may be adjusted.

  • Patent number: 4659240
Abstract: A bearing protector attached to a shaft abuts against the inner race of a bearing mounted to a housing. The body of the protector extends over substantially all of the outer race. The protector does not contact the outer race due to a running clearance. Side loads which would otherwise contact the bearing seals are held by the protector which is secured to and rotates with the shaft.
