The method also comprises providing a platform including a plurality of mounting assemblies configured to mount the platform within the at least one tower segment at one of the first cross-sectional area and the second cross-sectional area, coupling the platform to the inner surface of the tower segment at one of the first cross-sectional area and the second cross-sectional area, and coupling the plurality of tower segments.
