  • Publication number: 20130299289
Abstract: A wear distance sensor detects wear distance of a brake pad, in particular of a friction brake, and includes a housing having a friction side and a connecting side and a probe having two electrical conductor elements in combination with at least one electrical resistance element. Two dimensions of the resistance element are not constant depending on the wear distance. A third dimension of the resistance element, which has a three-dimensional design, is not constant depending on the wear distance.

  • Patent number: 7816907
Abstract: An integrated circuit includes an output terminal to be coupled to a light-emitting diode, an output circuit coupled to the output terminal, the output circuit being configured to supply an operating signal to the light-emitting diode, a measuring circuit coupled to the output terminal and a control circuit coupled to the measuring circuit. The measuring circuit is configured to sense on the output terminal a signal value outside an operating regime of the light-emitting diode, the signal value being a voltage below a forward voltage of the light-emitting diode or a current below a threshold current of the light-emitting diode. The control circuit is configured to configure at least one function of the integrated circuit when the signal value as sensed by the measuring circuit corresponds to a voltage below the forward voltage of the light-emitting diode or a current below the threshold current of the light-emitting diode.

  • Publication number: 20090267681
Abstract: An integrated circuit comprises an output terminal to be coupled to a non-linear circuit element, an output circuit coupled to the output terminal, the output circuit being configured to supply an operating signal to the non-linear circuit element, a measuring circuit coupled to the output terminal, the measuring circuit being configured to sense on the output terminal a signal value outside an operating regime of the non-linear circuit element, and a control circuit coupled to the measuring circuit, the control circuit being configured to configure at least one function of the integrated circuit on the basis of the signal value sensed by the measuring circuit.

  • Publication number: 20090237122
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a line driver circuit comprises a plurality of output stages each operable to produce an output signal and one or more pre-output stages operable to perform one or more common functions. The line driver circuit also comprises circuitry operable to selectively couple one or more of the output stages to the one or more pre-output stages based on a wireline communication technology implemented by the line driver circuit.

  • Patent number: 7151828
Abstract: A circuit arrangement for the analogue suppression of echoes, as in particular can be used in a hybrid-circuit for DSL-transmission systems, comprises a replica (8) for emulating the behaviour of the transmission line (17). In addition, a circuit (3, 4) for emulating the behaviour of the transmitter (13) is provided, which comprises at least one lowpass (3, 4). Furthermore, a replica (9, 10) for emulating the behaviour of bridge taps (14) can also be provided, which comprises at least one bandpass (9, 10). Additionally, a replica (19) for emulating the behaviour of the line driver (1) can also be provided.

  • Patent number: 5856762
Abstract: A phase-locked loop includes a switched phase detector, a loop filter and an oscillator connected in series, as well as a device for technology compensation, in particular a course control device. An operating point is adjusted during a starting phase of the phase-locked loop through the use of the course control device in such a way that the damping and natural frequency of the phase-locked loop is independent of fluctuations in technology parameters.
