  • Patent number: 11535495
Abstract: Lifting apparatus for lifting, conveying and/or positioning blocks or slabs, such as blocks or slabs made of concrete, masonry, stone, brick, or similar materials, and methods of lifting, conveying and/or positioning such materials. The lifting apparatus may include two spaced block supporters that are positioned or positionable to respectively mechanically engage a block or slab to support the same mechanically. Upon biasing the two spaced block supporters, the block is engaged and its weight supported, and the block may be lifted, conveyed and/or positioned at a desired location. Unbiasing the block supporters releases the block. A plurality of lifting apparatuses may be used together, including in modular form.

  • Publication number: 20030019170
Abstract: A sound barrier wall system for reducing the transmission of noise into residential and commercially sensitive areas. The sound barrier wall system includes a partition member having a plurality of rib members and a rear wall, and a plurality of support members positioned about the distal ends of the partition member. The partition member includes an upper slot and a lower tongue for allowing interlocking with adjacent partition members. The plurality of rib members extending from the rear wall form a sound dampening surface that breaks up the sound waves and deflects the sound waves away from a residential area. A plurality of cavities preferably extend into the inner surface of the rear wall of the partition member for further increasing the sound dampening capabilities.

  • Patent number: 6283766
Abstract: A magnetic clamp device which allows the grounding of a conductive flange of test equipment to a metallic ground plane in a quick and efficient manner. The device includes a top plate and a spring-loaded bar secured to the top plate. The bar is straddled by a pair of magnet assemblies so that when the bar is placed over the conductive flange of the test equipment, the magnet assemblies straddle the flange and are magnetically secured to the ground plane, with the spring-loaded bar pressing the flange into conductive engagement with the ground plane.
