  • Publication number: 20030049103
Abstract: A manipulator device for the repositioning of parts having at least one pivot arm (15) able to be driven to perform an oscillating pivotal movement about a pivot axis (16), such pivot arm (15) so acting during the pivotal movement on a gripper carrier (6) serving for carrying a gripper (7) that the gripper carrier (6) is shifted in position without changing its alignment in space along a predetermined manipulation path (5). The gripper carrier (6) is connected with a cam follower (35), engaging a path cam (36) defining the desired course of the manipulation path (5) and extending some distance about the pivot axis (16). Furthermore, in order to move along a manipulation path (5) at least partially departing from a circular path, the gripper carrier (6) is movably arranged in relation to the pivot axis (16) in a direction which is radial with respect to such radial direction so that it may perform a radial movement combined with the orbital movement about the pivot axis (16).

  • Publication number: 20030029313
Abstract: A linear drive unit (1) possesses a first principal body (2) with a U-like section part (4) and furthermore a second principal body (3) with a drive housing (7). Using at least one drive means the two principal bodies (and 3) may be driven to perform a linear relative movement. The section part (4) straddles the drive housing (7), its longitudinal limbs (5a and 5b) being opposite to the side faces (13a and 13b) of the drive housing (7) with the intermediate placement of linear guide means. The section part (4) comprises two section elements (23a and 23b) each having one of the limbs (5a and 5b), such section elements being firmly joined together and being placed opposite to each other alongside each other setting the guide play of the linear drive means.

  • Patent number: 6279411
Abstract: A linear drive mechanism comprising a moveably guided output member (12). The output member (12) is guided on a supporting device (15) in a supporting area (13) of the housing (1). A position determining device (54) protrudes laterally from the output member (12). The position determining device moves along a position determining area (55) during the axial movement of the output member (12). The support device (15) extends only over part of the perimeter of the output member (12), wherein the output member (12) is exposed along a section of the perimeter so that an open space (67) is provided, thereby forming part of a position determining area (55) which can be traversed by the position determining element (54). This makes it possible to combine effective guidance with a compact linear drive design.

  • Patent number: 5469775
Abstract: A linear-drive device with a housing (1) in which a drive element (3) is fitted in such a way that longitudinal motion is permitted. On the outside of the housing (1) is a longitudinal guide element (16) on which a guide rail (18) is mounted, also in such a way that longitudinal motion is permitted. A lug (14) projecting through a longitudinal slot (13) in the housing (1) connects the drive element (3) with the guide rail (18). In order to prevent the lug (14) being damaged if the drive element (3) strikes one of the end stops, a buffer device (30) acting in the direction of motion is located in the connection between the guide rail (18) and the drive element (3).
