    Abstract: A parcel transfer system transfers a parcel or a similar article directly between a conveyor and a self-driving vehicle (“SDV”) while the conveyor and SDV are moving. The conveyor, SDV, or both may be configured to initially transport a parcel in a first direction of travel and then subsequently offload the parcel in a second direction of travel. The SDV is configured to travel alongside of the conveyor in the first direction of travel and either receive the parcel as it is offloaded from the conveyor or offload the parcel onto the conveyor in the second direction of travel. The parcel transfer system further includes a vision and control subsystem, which regulates movement of the SDV and offloading of the parcel from the conveyor or SDV.

Irradiating the flame retardant polymer resin increases the resin's molecular weight and reduces the resin's melt index through crosslinking.

    Abstract: Methods for moving a media sheet through the media path of an image forming device. In one embodiment, the media sheet may be moved by a pick mechanism having a pick roll from an input tray. The pick roll in the input tray may maintain contact with the media sheet and drive the sheet at a first elevated speed as it moves towards the nip. The pick roll may then slow as it brings the leading edge into contact with the nip. This slower speed may reduce the amount of nip shock or compression that may cause reengagement of the pick mechanism and an unintentional double sheet feed. Moving the media sheet at the fast speed a majority of the distance along the media path between the input tray and nip may increase media throughput.

The mount includes a tube of elastomeric material that can be stretched over the temple bar to fix its position and prevent "jiggling". The coupling includes a wire of resilient plastic that is wound into a tight helix. The diameter of the helix is about 1 cm, which allows it to be stored between the rear of the outer ear and the skull, to minimize earplug motion when the earplug is not inserted into the ear canal.
