Patent number: 11814890Abstract: A control system for an electric drive assembly of a hatch of a motor vehicle includes a drive assembly configured to reposition a hatch in motorized manner in a time-controlled motion process within a predetermined set hatch-motion time (tsoll) over a predetermined set hatch displacement (ssoll). The control system further includes a regulating unit that regulates the drive assembly to a set hatch speed (vsoll) during the motion process. Wherein, in a motion routine during the motion process, the control system ascertains a residual remaining hatch-motion time (tRest) continuously and computes the set hatch speed (vsoll) continuously in accordance with a computation rule on the basis of the remaining hatch-motion time (tRest) and supplies the hatch speed to the regulating unit.Type: GrantFiled: March 30, 2020Date of Patent: November 14, 2023Assignee: BROSE FAHRZEUGTEILE SE & CO. KOMMANDITGESELLSCHAFT, BAMBERGInventor: Thomas Goldmann

Patent number: 10443294Abstract: It is provided a method for controlling an adjusting movement of a power-operated adjustable vehicle closing element, such as e.g. a side door or a liftgate, which can automatically be adjusted in the presence of an operating event. By means of a sensor device an operating event is detected in a contactless way. For the detection of an operating event a course of measurement values detected by the sensor device in a detection time interval is evaluated. Furthermore, at least one trigger signal, in particular a trigger signal of defined signal length and/or a trigger signal that triggers an execution of an authentication process preceding the adjustment of the vehicle closing element, in which the presence of a valid identification means in a vicinity of the vehicle is checked, is generated and sent.Type: GrantFiled: March 15, 2018Date of Patent: October 15, 2019Assignee: Brose Fahrzeugteile GMBH & Co. Patent number: 10227091Abstract: A method is provided for accident prevention with the following traffic during an automated parking procedure of a motor vehicle having a parking assistance system with at least one automated transverse guide. In order to park, a first parking movement into the transverse parking space is provided in the backwards or forwards direction, and, if necessary, at least one subsequent correction movement in the forwards or backwards direction. A need for a correction movement in the forward or backward direction is determined according to the method. In response to the fact that a need for a correction movement is determined, the method prevents the vehicle from pulling so far into the transverse parking space during the parking movement so that afterwards, when beginning the correction movement in the forward or backward direction, the driver does not have an obstructed view of the following traffic due to the visual blocking by a vehicle adjacent to the transverse parking space.Type: GrantFiled: April 7, 2017Date of Patent: March 12, 2019Assignee: Bayerische Motoren Werke AktiengesellschaftInventors: Constantin Coester, Izden Sarihan, Thomas Goldmann

Patent number: 9969429Abstract: A method performs an automated process for parking a motor vehicle in a longitudinal parking space, wherein the vehicle automatically controls the longitudinal and transverse movement of the vehicle and the vehicle is moved, in one or more moves, into a position in the longitudinal parking space in which the vehicle is aligned in the longitudinal direction substantially parallel to a lateral delimitation line of the longitudinal parking space and is at a permissible distance from the lateral delimitation line of the longitudinal parking space. The method is characterized in that the distance from a front delimiting object of the parking space is determined in the aligned position and, depending on the distance, the vehicle performs an additional correction move, in which the vehicle is moved in the forward or reverse direction under automatic control with a steering angle of substantially zero degrees.Type: GrantFiled: December 28, 2015Date of Patent: May 15, 2018Assignee: Bayerische Motoren Werke AktiengesellschaftInventor: Thomas Goldmann

Patent number: 9630617Abstract: A method is provided for resuming the movement of a motor vehicle after unforeseen stopping in an automated parking process performed by a parking assistance system having automated longitudinal and transverse guidance. If the vehicle is stopped, a decision is made about a resumption of movement of the vehicle in the prior direction of travel that existed before the vehicle was stopped. The decision is made in dependence on the remaining travel path from the current position to the next planned stopping point of the trajectory lying in the prior direction of travel. A stopping point of the trajectory can be a reversal point or the final parking position, for example. If the decision is positive, the movement of the vehicle is resumed in the prior direction of travel. If the decision is negative, the movement of the vehicle is resumed against the prior direction of travel. Alternatively, in the case of a negative decision, the movement of the vehicle may not be resumed and the parking process may be ended.Type: GrantFiled: January 28, 2016Date of Patent: April 25, 2017Assignee: Bayerische Motoren Werke AktiengesellschaftInventors: Thomas Burtsche, Thomas Velten, Rainer Schillinger, Thomas Goldmann
