Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed for filtering and treating fluids within a drain. The apparatus includes a stopper component for controlling drain flow out of a basin and a filtering component for ensnaring foreign matter and debris. The filtering component includes a plurality of levels, each level configured to entrap foreign matter and enable fluid flow therepast. The levels include a plurality of openings and a plurality of spicule members adapted to contact an inner drain surface.
