  • Patent number: 8951549
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for reducing the concentration of amines and salts thereof, wherein the amines have the general chemical formula I R1R2R3N and the salts have the formula II R1R2R3N—H, wherein the amines and salts thereof exist in aqueous solution or aqueous suspension and are brought into contact with clinoptilolitic or clinoptilolite-containing mixtures. The method itself is suitable for use in food preparation and in the manufacture of foods. The inventive idea of reducing the concentration of amines and salts thereof is also useful in the manufacture of medical products for absorbing and for removing amines from the intestinal tract or the skin area of humans and animals.

  • Publication number: 20090226492
Abstract: The invention relates to the use of an activated and modified zeolite as a pharmaceutical agent for diseases of the metabolic organs, particularly the liver, kidneys and pancreas by adsorbing heavy metals such as lead and mercury and/or ammonia in the digestive tract of humans and animals and for their evacuation from the organism. The particles of the zeolite have a particle size ranging from 2 to 9 ?m, zeta potentials ranging from 20 to 26 mV and a specific surface area ranging from 30 to 38 m2/g. Additional applications include use in cases of food intolerance and food allergies, for treating open or closed wounds in a powder or cream form, for skin diseases and viral infections, for skin care and skin regeneration, as cosmetic agents for skin care and skin regeneration, and for taking up and evacuating mercury and amalgam in the tooth and jawbone region of humans.
