  • Publication number: 20070278443
Abstract: A hand-operated pressure regulating valve for compressed air guns includes a basic valve body with a nozzle passage, threads for connection to a compressed air gun and a nozzle body, a pressure regulating unit and an actuating ring. The regulating unit is held by the ring, with a securing ring, in a bore of the basic valve body. The nozzle passage can be bridged and closed within the bore by a nozzle passage piece. The cross section of the nozzle passage can be reduced and increased by rotation of the ring and displacement of the regulating unit and the passage piece. The regulating unit has a basic body with the passage piece, a spring pin and a compression spring and, in the installed state, the pin projects through the spring out of the basic body and the bore for radial movement transversely and, by rotation of the actuating ring, latches in succession into wells in an inner surface of the actuating ring.

  • Patent number: 6860866
Abstract: A method and a device for determining the efficiency of a dialyzer of a dialysis machine during a dialysis treatment wherein the dialyzer is divided by a semipermeable membrane into a blood chamber and a dialysis fluid chamber and wherein the blood flows at a predetermined flow rate through the blood chamber and dialysis fluid flows at a predetermined flow rate through the dialysis fluid chamber. In use, the dialysance or clearance for a predetermined dialysis fluid flow rate and/or blood flow rate is measured, and then the dialysance or clearance for any dialysis fluid flow rate and blood flow rate is calculated.

  • Patent number: 6754249
Abstract: A method for generating polarized laser output radiation utilizes a laser resonator whose active medium exhibits thermally induced birefringence. The radiation fields oscillating in the laser resonator are not subjected to polarization selection, and only the radiation field exhibiting the desired polarization state (p) is partially output. Only a prescribed polarization of the radiation fields of the laser radiation which can oscillate in the resonator can be partially output from the resonator with a prescribed output level and all differently polarized radiation fields remain in the resonator in a completely reflecting fashion.

  • Patent number: 6652014
Abstract: The invention relates to a vacuum grip system (10) for gripping at least one object (11a). The vacuum grip system (10) has a base unit (18) and at least two suction units (19, 20) affixed thereto, disposed at right angles to one another, and each having at least one suction gripper (21, 22). At least one of the suction units (19, 20) grasps the object or objects (11a) to be gripped from above, and at least one of the suction units (19,20) grasps the object or objects (11a) from one side. In order to provide The vacuum grip system (10) having maximum flexibility, it is proposed to affix the suction units (19, 20) to the base unit (18) such that, in order to grip the object (11a), the distance between the upper suction unit (19) and the lateral suction unit (20) may be varied. It is further proposed that the vacuum grip system (10) have a mechanical undergripper (25) upon which the gripped object (11a) may be laid.

  • Publication number: 20030136667
Abstract: The dosing unit comprises a moving member which is pressed against a gasket mounted at the circumference of an opening in the wall of a reservoir such that a part of the surface of the moving member is in contact with a liquid inside the reservoir and a part of the surface is in contact with the medium in a compartment outside the reservoir. The gasket ensures that the liquid does not flow from the reservoir to the outside compartment and medium does not flow from the outside compartment to the reservoir except when the moving member is moved and medium adhered to its surface is dragged by the gasket. Due to the invention, an electrode is provided in the reservoir and an electric potential may thereby be established between the moving member and the liquid in the reservoir.
