  • Patent number: 12004910
Abstract: A spinal construct includes a first member having a first thread form and an implant cavity configured for disposal of the spinal implant. A second member is engageable with a spinal implant and includes a second thread form configured for engagement with the first thread form. A gauge is coupled to the second member. The gauge is configured to measure a force between the second member and the spinal implant when the second member is engaged with the first member. The second thread form is timed with the first thread form to position the gauge in a selected orientation relative to the spinal implant. Systems and methods are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20240139905
Abstract: A chemical mechanical polishing apparatus has a platen to support a polishing pad, the platen having a recess, a carrier head to hold a surface of a substrate against the polishing pad and comprising a retaining ring to retain the substrate below the carrier head, a motor to generate relative motion between the platen and the carrier head so as to polish the substrate, an in-situ acoustic monitoring system comprising an acoustic sensor arranged in the recess that receives acoustic energy from friction between the substrate and the polishing pad and from friction between the retaining ring and the polishing pad, and a controller configured to generate a value for a carrier head status parameter based on received acoustic signals from the in-situ acoustic monitoring system, and change or polishing parameter or generate an alert based on the carrier head status parameter.

  • Patent number: 11931853
Abstract: Generating a recipe for controlling a polishing system includes receiving a target removal profile that includes a target thickness to remove for a plurality of locations on a substrate that are angularly distributed around the substrate, and storing a first function defining a polishing rate for a zone from a plurality of pressurizable zones of a carrier head that are angularly distributed around a the carrier head. The first function defines polishing rates as a function of pressures. For each particular zone of the plurality of zones a recipe defining a pressure for the particular zone over time is calculated by calculating an expected thickness profile after polishing using the first function, and minimizing a cost function that incorporates a first term representing a difference between the expected thickness profile and a target thickness profile.

  • Patent number: 5335924
Abstract: A braking system for in-line skates allows a brake pad to have a retracted position for the brake pad during normal skating operations and an extended position for the brake pad during braking operations. The extended position is achieved by a spring actuated retainer screw attached to a pad retainer to drive the brake pad down to the pavement so as to contact the pavement without having to rock the braking foot back. Once the skater has come to a complete stop, the skater rocks the braking foot back at least a predetermined amount so as to push the retainer screw upwards a predetermined vertical distance so as to allow a retainer pin to engage the bottom portion of the head of the retainer screw, thereby maintain the spring in its compressed state and the brake pad in its retracted state.

  • Patent number: 5197776
Abstract: A seating/bed arrangement for a motor home utilizes freestanding seats which may be moved from place to place within a recreational vehicle. The seats securable to fixed members of the vehicle by latches in various configurations, for example as an L-shaped settee, two oppositely facing seats, two one-behind-the-other seats or as a bed. A single fixed member of the vehicle and a single latch per seat may allow for the majority of the desirable configurations but an additional latch may be provided, notably for the L-shaped settee configuration. When two seats are aligned, it is possible to form at least a full sized double bed by extending the seat fortioins forwards. A table may also be utilized in the bed configuration and the table may be provided with a dual purpose leg to support the table either as a table or as part of the bed.
