  • Patent number: 4659610
Abstract: An inorganic binder composition is employed in combination with fillers comprising particulates, fibers, filaments or yarn to form a structure. The coating is prepared from colloidal silica, monoaluminum phosphate, aluminum chlorohydrate an organo tin catalyst and optionally a refractory material.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 10, 1986
Date of Patent: April 21, 1987
    Assignee: Subtex, Inc.
Inventors: Stephen George, Thomas H. George
  • Patent number: 4647500
Abstract: The heat and flame resistance of foamed plastics is increased by coating the foamed plastic with an inorganic binder composition of colloidal silica, monoaluminum phosphate and aluminum chlorohydrate. The inorganic binder compositions may optionally contain an alkyl tin halide catalyst, a water soluble organic resin, an elastomer or additional inorganic additives. The inorganic binder composition may be employed in combination with dissimilar binders.

  • Patent number: 4282283
Abstract: A laminated fiberglass fabric composition is prepared by laminating a non-woven fabric to a knitted or woven fiberglass fabric with a plastisol laminating adhesive. Heat compressing the assembled materials envelops the individual fiberglass yarns with the non-woven fabric producing a fabric composition which is highly resistant to damage caused by severe twisting or flexing forces applied to the fabric. The use of a flame resistant laminating adhesive imparts flame resistant to these fabric compositions.

Date of Patent: August 4, 1981
    Assignee: Textured Products, Inc.
