    Abstract: A method and system of subsea intervention comprises lowering one or more assemblies of intervention equipment into the sea. Underwater marine units (such as remote operated vehicles or small submarines) may be employed to connect the assemblies to each other and to the subsea wellhead equipment. The subsea wellhead equipment includes a carrier line spool (e.g., coiled tubing spool, wireline spool, slickline spool) and equipment to inject a carrier line from the carrier line spool into the subsea well. The carrier line spool can be located underwater, such as on the sea floor or positioned above the subsea wellhead equipment. The carrier line spool can also be located on a sea vessel. Also, to switch tools, a carousel system having multiple chambers containing different types of tools can be used.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus of orienting a tool in a wellbore includes running an orientation string into the wellbore, the orienting string including a positioning device, a measurement device (e.g., a gyroscope), and the tool. The orientation string is positioned in a predetermined interval in the wellbore. The azimuthal orientation of the orientation string is measured with the measurement device. The orientation string is removed from the wellbore, and a tool string is run into the wellbore, the tool string including substantially similar components as the orientation string such that the tool string follows substantially the same path as the orientation string.

The tool incorporates the features of a straddle packer to allow formation fluid specimens to be taken at large flow rates without depressing the pressure below the formation fluid bubble point. When used in combination with a pressure probe the tool is used to obtain meaningful permeability readings in a larger radius area than previously permitted with known designs. Additionally, the apparatus of the present invention allows flow control during the creation of the pressure pulse which enhances extraction of valid samples and the permeability determination.

    Abstract: A recreational toy wheel vehicle comprises a generally annular outer wheel member having an outer peripheral rolling surface and a generally smooth inner peripheral surface area defining a generally circular, axially extending interior cavity. A carriage member has a passenger carrying seat and a series of generally smooth rib members which contact the generally smooth inner surface area of the wheel member. The generally smooth inner surface area of the wheel member and the generally smooth rib members are fabricated of materials which minimize the coefficient of sliding, or kinetic, friction therebetween. Relatively frictionless or gliding contact between the two materials thus occurs, so that the carriage member is supported in a non-rotating position within the interior cavity during rotation of the outer wheel member on the rolling surface.

    Abstract: In combination with a plastic fuze radome, a structure for protecting the ternal electronic components housed within said radomes during flight, said structure being a strap-on metal cap designed to slip on or over the ogive of the radome of a fuze. This metal cap is a metal cone having two open windows. The antenna of the fuze electronics is permitted to radiate through the windows while being protected from rain damage by the large umbrella at the top over the plastic nose cone, and from heat flux into electronic components by the large metal band at the bottom. Mechanical ablation of the tip is prevented by the cone of metal acting as a heat sink and as a shield against the wind-stream stagnation pressure. Triboelectric charging is prevented by two conductive straps down the side of the structure, and by a grounding electrical connection.
