  • Publication number: 20070264009
Abstract: Systems and methods for optical path protection for distributed antenna systems are provided. In one embodiment, a method is provided. The method comprises receiving an electrical uplink radio frequency signal; generating an uplink optical signal derived from the electrical uplink radio frequency signal; splitting the uplink optical signal for transmission on a primary uplink optical fiber and a secondary uplink optical fiber; combining any downlink optical signal received on a primary downlink optical communication medium and any downlink optical signal received on a second downlink optical communication medium in order to output a downlink optical signal; and generating a downlink radio frequency signal derived from the downlink optical signal.

  • Publication number: 20070095233
Abstract: A method for aligning a printing plate, prior to imaging, on a platesetter includes the steps of: determining a leading edge of the printing plate; feeding the printing plate by the leading edge onto punch equipment resident on the platesetter; centering the printing plate on the platesetter along the leading edge; punching one or more notches along the leading edge of the printing plate according to a predetermined punch configuration; securing the leading edge and a trailing edge to a support surface of the platesetter with respect to registration pins located on platesetter; determining a location of a vertical edge of one of the notches, the vertical edge defined as being perpendicular to the leading edge; and determining a location with respect to the vertical edge of the one notch for transferring an image onto the printing plate.

  • Patent number: 6948916
Abstract: A multiple hermetic compressor assembly comprising a first compressor and an adjacent, second compressor interconnected by a hot gas pressure discharge manifold, a suction gas pressure equalization manifold, a suction manifold and an oil equalization manifold, the manifolds including a plurality of the turns extending at right angles that minimizes vibrational-associated manifold stress failures by providing for adequate vibrational absorption in the manifolds and reduces hot gas discharge interference between the compressors.

  • Publication number: 20050028545
Abstract: A system for providing liquid refrigerant subcooling by means of evaporative cooling utilizing the condensate water of said air conditioner, refrigeration/heat pump system and/or other water supply to wet the surface of the subcool heat exchanger and pass the dry exhaust air across the wetted surface of the subcool heat exchanger. A system for providing hot gas discharge refrigerant precooling into the primary condenser of an air conditioner, refrigeration or heat pump system by evaporative cooling utilizing the condensate water of said system and/or other water supply to wet the surface of the precool heat exchanger and then passing the cold, dry exhaust air across the wetted surface of the precool heat exchanger. A combination subcooler/precooler system where the cold dry building exhaust air is used to evaporatively subcool the liquid refrigerant in the water wetted (or dry) subcooler and then used to conductively cool the hot gas refrigerant.
