  • Patent number: 11938542
Abstract: According to the invention, a metal workpiece made by additive manufacturing is subjected, following the additive manufacturing process, to a cold treatment in which the workpiece is cooled to a lower target temperature of less than minus 30° C. in a cooling phase and is then heated up to an upper target temperature in a heating phase. The cold treatment significantly improves the properties of the workpiece in respect of the mechanical quality thereof.

  • Patent number: 11933542
Abstract: Large scale field erected air cooled industrial steam condenser having heat exchanger panels independently loaded into and supported in a heat exchange frame section. A bottom bonnet runs along the bottom length of each heat exchanger panel for delivering steam to the bottom end of condenser tubes in the heat exchange panel and for receiving condensate formed in those same tubes. The tops of the tubes are connected to a top bonnet. Uncondensed steam and non-condensables are drawn into the top bonnet from the condenser tubes. A steam distribution manifold is suspended from the heat exchange section frame perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the heat exchange panels and beneath a center point of the heat exchange panels and delivers steam to each heat exchange panel via a single steam inlet located at a center point of each bottom bonnet.

  • Publication number: 20240088822
Abstract: For economical and energy-efficient use of a PV system having upright, in particular bifacial, PV modules and to substantially avoid shading of the PV modules, a supporting structure which is simple to manufacture and install is provided, that has vertical posts, which are connected to one another at intersecting points, and horizontally running cross-members such that rectangular mounting areas are provided for individual PV modules. The posts and cross-members are formed in a material-saving manner by conventional profiles, and dividing the posts into two interconnectable sections substantially facilitates the assembly. An electrical connection is provided such that active surfaces which are arranged one above another can be operated at different electrical operating points and such that electrical lines are formed which are operated separately from one another and are arranged in a horizontally running manner. This minimizes effects of shading of PV modules on the efficiency of the energy conversion.

  • Patent number: 9514593
Abstract: The present invention relates to the automatic removal of value document stacks from a container with the aid of a gripper. For separating different value document stacks, the container is subdivided into several storage regions by separator elements. Since the separator element positions of different value document containers may be different, for the container to be respectively processed it is ascertained at which positions along the container the separator elements are arranged. Ascertaining the separator element positions is effected independently of the gripper at a time before the gripper is moved toward the container. The ascertained information items about the separator element positions belonging to the container are then transferred to a gripper control device of the gripper, which is configured for controlling the motion of the gripper in order to remove value documents from the container.

  • Patent number: 9216869
Abstract: For continuously singling value documents from a value document stack, the value document stack is lifted and fed toward the singler. For controlling the feed of the value document stack, an image of a side of the value document stack is recorded and evaluated, in order to recognize the edges of the individual value documents. The feed of the value document stack is controlled in dependence on the number of value document edges which are ascertained in the recorded image. If the number of value document edges cannot, or not sufficiently, be ascertained, additionally a brightness of the image in this image portion is ascertained. Upon the singling of the value documents imaged in this image portion the feed of the value document stack is controlled in dependence on the brightness ascertained in this image portion.

  • Publication number: 20060207530
Abstract: A manifold assembly includes a pressure feed orifice that directly connects an inlet circuit to a control circuit of the manifold. This direct connection between the pressure inlet to the control circuit allows air to be bled out of the manifold assembly. Low pressure fluid in the assembly pushes out air through the orifice out of the assembly, ensuring prompt solenoid response during manifold assembly operation.

  • Patent number: 6623001
Abstract: In a sheet stacking apparatus, in particular spiral slot stacker, one determines the relative position of a group of sheets 7A, 7B, for example distance ta between the sheets or total length tL of overlapping sheets. Sheet sensor 16 is mounted for this purpose at a large distance before input point 15 so that irregularities such as distance and/or overlap within the group of sheets 7A, 7B are taken into account and corresponding steps can be taken before leading sheet 7A is fed into stacker slot 2 of stacking wheel 1. Depending on the kind of irregularity ascertained, stacking wheel 1 is stopped, slowed down or accelerated to permit collision-free feed of the group of sheets into common slot 2 or into separate slots 2. In special embodiments one influences the sheet speed by means of separately controllable transport path segments 12a, 12b, and/or input point 15 by means of control finger 8.

  • Publication number: 20030110110
Abstract: A bank-note processing system comprises bank-note processing machines (M1-M4) set up in a room (R) and adapted to be individually operated wirelessly by a control unit (BE). In dependence on the position of the control unit (BE) within the room (R) the control unit is configured by the closest machine (e.g. M4), for which purpose said machine (M4) passes machine-typical data to the control unit (BE) in a log-in procedure. The control unit (BE) can be used to wirelessly operate different bank-note processing machines even of different types. This simplifies operation, on the one hand, and permits simpler realization of security measures, on the other hand, e.g. the limitation of operation to certain operating functions for certain groups of persons within one and the same room.
