  • Patent number: 9931599
Abstract: A delay system for a stirring machine includes a plurality of vertical stirring augers, supported to a cross tube, with each auger having a tilt switch. A gear motor is connected to the cross tube and moves the cross tube forwardly around a bin. A delay assembly is connected to the tilt switches and the gear motor. The delay assembly shuts off the gear motor when the stirring augers are vertically displaced and starts the gear motor after a time delay once the stirring augers return to a vertical position.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 8, 2014
Date of Patent: April 3, 2018
    Assignee: Sukup Manfucaturing Co.
Inventors: Thomas J. Jensen, Graham Giddings, Charles E. Sukup
  • Patent number: 9353991
Abstract: A pivoting center hanger for a grain stirring machine has a top plate connected to a vertical member. A pair of braces are connected to and extend between the top plate and the vertical member. Pivotally connected to the vertical member is a base member that permits a gear motor shaft and a cross tube shaft to stay in alignment when the cross tube shaft bows downwardly.

  • Patent number: 6698143
Abstract: A flashing apron for use in grain bins roofs which has apron segments comprised of a single sheet of metal with a plurality of spaced crease lines therein wherein the crease lines create a plurality of truncated areas in an upper surface of the apron segment. Each apron segment has a side edge comprising a downwardly bent lip which fits underneath a side edge of an adjacent apron segment which is planar in shape and which lies on or above the bent lip. Suitable fasteners are provided to secure the apron segments together to create a composite flashing apron for mounting around the circular ring at the apex of the grain bin roof.
