Abstract: A dental crown construction and method for making the same wherein the crown structure includes a stainless steel substrate cap with a cosmetic overlay securely anchored to the front surface of the cap. The method includes roughening the outer surface of the cap, applying a bonding agent to the surface and adhesively bonding an outer cosmetic layer to the outer surface of the cap along with the mechanical retention created by the corners being cut out.

Abstract: A mounting and alignment device for removably mounting a dental model or portion thereof to a base cast. The device comprises an alignment collar which is adapted to be fixedly secured to a dowel pin and a dental model, the combination being receivable in a complimentary depression in a base cast to align and retain the dental model, preventing it from rotating or moving transversely with respect to the base cast when the portions are cooperatively engaged. A gasket may be included in the base cast to further enhance the engagement between the dowel pin and the base cast.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method to assist in identification of removable dental prosthesis or appliances which have an area of acrylic, vinyl or other plastic type material in which the carrier on which identifying information such as: name, Social Security number, address, telephone number or any combination thereof is imprinted can be embedded in and covered with a clear material of the same type or compatible with the original material of the dental prosthesis.
