  • Patent number: 11925408
Abstract: A tool assembly for use with an electrosurgical device for cutting tissue includes a base portion, a return lead, an electrical insulator, a center pin, and an active lead. The center pin extends from the base portion and through a lumen of the electrical insulator. The active lead is securely fixed to the base portion and extends between the base portion and a distal portion of the center pin such that a portion of the active lead extends around the distal portion of the center pin and first and second segments of the active lead are spaced apart from the return lead. Upon activation, electrosurgical energy is transmitted from the active lead through tissue to the return lead to cut tissue in contact with the active lead.

  • Patent number: 11631310
Abstract: An electronic article surveillance (EAS) system and method of operating the system, including one or more processors and memory. The memory contains instructions to cause the processors to receive data from a first sensor indicating the presence of an electronic surveillance tag within a first predetermined space, receive data from a second sensor including tracking information that indicates a distance of the second sensor from a person in possession of the electronic surveillance tag within a second predetermined space, determine a speed and/or direction of movement of the person based on the data from the second sensor, and detect a theft event and execute an alarm routine based on the presence of the electronic surveillance tag within the first predetermined space and the speed and/or direction of movement of the person within the second predetermined space.

  • Patent number: 7765300
Abstract: Protocols for messaging between a centralized network management system and other entities are described. According to one embodiment, in response to a request of a subscriber for joining a multicast group received at a centralized aggregation server, the centralized aggregation server transmits a port subscriber announcement (PSA) message to substantially all subscriber access multiplexers over an access network. The PSA message includes an identifier (ID) of the subscriber. In response to the PSA message, a subscriber access multiplexer having a subscriber matching the ID of the subscriber in the PSA message identifies a user port corresponding to the subscriber and applies a local service policy to the identified user port.
