  • Publication number: 20220417119
Abstract: A network of Internet of Things (IoT) devices can leverage sensor data from the IoT devices to detect that a device has been activated, determine whether the activation was intentional, and, if it were not, issue commands to deactivate the device. The network can learn over time to correlate trends in sensor data with activations of devices.

  • Publication number: 20220406232
Abstract: In an approach for dynamically adjusting parallel reality (PR) displays, a processor configures a viewing event. A processor receives data from data collecting devices located throughout a location of the viewing event. A processor classifies a crowd of the viewing event into at least two partitions using a learning-based neural network that ingests the data. A processor selects content to be displayed to each of the at least two partitions. A processor enables a PR display to simultaneously display the content to each of the at least two partitions.

  • Publication number: 20220398381
Abstract: Disclosed embodiments provide techniques to identify the in-context meanings of natural language in order to decipher the evolution or creation of new vocabulary words and create a more holistic user experience. Thus, disclosed embodiments improve the technical field of digital content comprehension. In embodiments, machine learning is used to identify sentiment of text, perform entity detection to determine topics of text, and/or perform image analysis on images used in digital content. Words, symbols, and images that are determined to be potentially unfamiliar to a user are augmented with a supplemental definition indication. Invoking the supplemental definition indication enables rendering of additional definition information for the user. This serves to accelerate understanding of digital content such as webpages and social media posts.

  • Patent number: 11461495
Abstract: An approach for cognitively processing documents to ameliorate inadvertent sharing of sensitive information during electronic communications is disclosed. The approach determines a first context and historical context of an electronic communication being prepared for transmission. The approach determines one or more risk scores based on the first context and the historical context. The approach assigns the one or more risk scores to the first context and the historical context and determining whether the one or more risk scores exceed one or more predetermined thresholds. The approach executes an action plan to prevent sensitive document from being transmitted should the risk score exceed the threshold.

  • Patent number: 11463437
Abstract: A method can include detecting an activation of a networked device. The method can further include obtaining a hazard score corresponding to a degree of hazard associated with the networked device. The method can further include determining an activation confidence score corresponding to the activation of the networked device. The method can further include determining, based at least in part on the hazard score and the activation confidence score, an adjusted activation confidence score. The method can further include determining that the adjusted activation confidence score exceeds a threshold. The method can further include initiating a deactivation of the networked device in response to the determining that the adjusted confidence score exceeds the threshold.

  • Publication number: 20220284231
Abstract: One or more computer processors establish a geofence surrounding a display having a plurality of pixels capable of change based on one or more display capabilities. The one or more computer processors monitor for a change in at least one pixel of the plurality of pixels. The one or more computer processors identify a photosensitive user within the established geofence. The one or more computer processors responsive to the at least one pixel change associated with the display, calculate a photosensitivity score utilizing a model trained for one or more photosensitive conditions associated with the photosensitive user. The one or more computer processors adjust the display to show a change on the at least one pixel based on the calculated photosensitivity score.

  • Patent number: 11303517
Abstract: A computer-implemented method includes: creating a virtualized copy of a mesh network including devices; measuring an unpatched performance metric value for the virtualized copy of each of the devices; applying a first software patch to the virtualized copy of each of the devices; measuring a patched first performance metric value for the virtualized copy of each of the devices; comparing, for each of the devices, the patched performance metric value to the unpatched performance metric value; and preventing the application of the first software patch to a first device of the devices as a result of the comparing.

  • Publication number: 20210377035
Abstract: Described are techniques for preserving data security for sensitive information. The techniques including identifying sensitive information in first audio data from a first client device. The techniques further comprise generating second audio data including hashed sensitive information, where the hashed sensitive information comprises an audio clip that replaces the sensitive information and that is based on the sensitive information. The techniques further comprise transmitting the second data including the hashed sensitive information to a second client device. The techniques further comprise receiving third audio data including the hashed sensitive information from the second client device. The techniques further comprise generating fourth audio data by replacing the hashed sensitive information with the sensitive information and transmitting the fourth audio data including the sensitive information to the first client device.
