    Abstract: A femoral hip joint spacer. The spacer has a prosthesis body with a ball head, a neck, a stem and an anchoring sleeve which encloses the stem on a proximal side of the stem with a circumferential fastening area, irrigation liquid inlet and outlet openings in the body surface, at least one irrigation liquid discharge opening on a distal side of the stem and at least one irrigation liquid intake opening on the ball head or on the neck. The discharge opening is connected in a liquid-permeable manner to the inlet opening but not to the outlet opening and the intake opening is connected inside the prosthesis body in a liquid-permeable manner to the outlet opening but not to the inlet opening. A cavity open on two sides is formed inside the anchoring sleeve and connects a proximal side to a distal side of the sleeve in a liquid-permeable manner.

    Abstract: A bone cement applicator comprising a cartridge with an internal space. The cartridge has a head with a dispensing opening for expulsion of bone cement, a first thread, a dispensing plunger, a threaded tube having a counter thread engaging the first thread, a receptacle mobile in the threaded tube, and a mixing rod with a mixer fastened to it and arranged in the internal space of the cartridge. The mixing rod is detachably connected to the receptacle and is guided through a feedthrough in the dispensing plunger and is supported in the feedthrough so as to be axially mobile. When detached from the receptacle, the mixing rod can be pushed into the receptacle when the receptacle is propelled in the direction of the cartridge head. A method is also disclosed for production of a bone cement using the bone cement applicator.

A dispensing plunger is arranged between the monomer liquid container and the cement powder in the cartridge. The feed plunger can be punctured by a rod when motion of the feed plunger is blocked, whereby the dispensing plunger is propelled by propelling the rod further through the blocked and punctured feed plunger. Also provided are an extrusion device for propelling a feed plunger and a dispensing plunger of a device for mixing of a bone cement dough, and a method for the production of a bone cement dough.

    Abstract: A compressed gas motor. The motor has a port and a hollow cylinder delimited by a wall with a ventilation opening, a rear closure, and a plunger axially movable in the cylinder. The plunger divides the cylinder into front and back chambers. The ventilation opening is periodically opened towards the back chamber during operation of the motor by movement of the plunger. A compression spring in the front chamber urges the plunger towards the rear closure and/or a tension spring in the back chamber draws the plunger towards the rear closure so that the back chamber is closed relative to the ventilation opening by the plunger and the back chamber is connected with the port when the same pressure prevails in the front and back chambers. The motor can be used in surgical drive systems, medical lavage systems and medical devices. Also disclosed is a method for operating the motor.
