  • Patent number: 11927722
Abstract: A transparent article is described herein that includes: a glass-ceramic substrate comprising first and second primary surfaces opposing one another and a crystallinity of at least 40% by weight; and an optical film structure disposed on the first primary surface. The optical film structure comprises a plurality of alternating high refractive index (RI) and low RI layers and a scratch-resistant layer. The article also exhibits an average photopic transmittance of greater than 80% and a maximum hardness of greater than 10 GPa, as measured by a Berkovich Hardness Test over an indentation depth range from about 100 nm to about 500 nm. The glass-ceramic substrate comprises an elastic modulus of greater than 85 GPa and a fracture toughness of greater than 0.8 MPa·?m. Further, the optical film structure exhibits a residual compressive stress of ?700 MPa and an elastic modulus of ?140 GPa.

  • Patent number: 10717172
Abstract: A Universal Single Person Undermount Fixture Installation Device is sued for the installation of undermount style plumbing fixtures by a single installer. This device includes a support that is set atop the counter/substrate and spans the opening where the fixture is to be raised into its final position. This support includes an attachment that protrudes down through the opening and engages the fixture through the drain opening to allow it to be raised from above the countertop. This device also includes a method for final tightening of the fixture from above while in full view of its current alignment to the opening within the counter/substrate. The tool can be disengaged to release from the fixture drain opening once the fixture is fastened in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.

  • Publication number: 20200180120
Abstract: The “Tool/Device” is for the installation of fixtures or similar appurtenances which need to be raised through a pre-made opening to the underside of the substrate to which they would attach/secure to. The “Tool/Device” is placed, spanning an opening by means of a stationary and or adjustable support. The support houses the operating features to raise and lower “fixtures” into their final secured position. The “fixture” is attached to the device by means of a sized support which can protrude the fixture for raising and or lowering. The sized support is attached to a shaft/tether which is controlled by manual function through the operating features.

  • Publication number: 20070278579
Abstract: A protective device for use with a metal stud features a body region, a reduced region, and a passageway disposed therethrough. The reduced region has an outer cross-section that is smaller than the outer cross-section of the body region and is sized and shaped to fit within an aperture disposed within the metal stud. The body region has a length that is at least as long as the thickness of the metal stud.

  • Patent number: 5979913
Abstract: A universal driving and setting tool is used to drive and set an anchor, such as a concrete anchor, having an anchor sleeve and an anchor slug positioned within a bore formed in the anchor sleeve. The driving and setting tool includes an attachment that fits over standard drill bits used in a hammer drill for drilling a hole in a substrate, such as concrete, in which the anchor is set. The attachment engages an end of the drill bit and can fit over drill bits having different lengths and having shanks of different shapes. The driving and setting tool also includes a reversible adapter that is positioned in the attachment in either a first or second position. In a first position, an anchor sleeve hammering portion on the reversible adapter faces outwardly to hammer the anchor sleeve into the hole within the substrate.
